CLASS A SOUTH

Brick Memorial 17, Toms River South 9

Junior attackman Joey Ferrera scored five goals with three assists and senior attackman Henry Moran scored four goals to reach 100 career points and fuel the Mustangs (5-4, 2-2) in their victory over the Indians (3-5, 1-4).

Senior midfielder Mike Mowder had a hat trick with one assist, senior attackman Gavin Murphy had one goal plus four assists and senior midfielder Vincent Spinelli also scored three goals. Zack Morton scored once and Matt Wood made 10 saves.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 6 Wall 18, Donovan Catholic 5

The Crimson Knights (6-1, 3-1) stormed the Griffins (2-3, 0-3) behind five goals from junior attackman Mike McIntyre and three goals each from Tim O'Hern, Jack Textor and Connor Prindiville.

Textor added two assists while O'Hern assisted on one goal. Kyle Peters had a goal and three assists, Will Forte had two goals and one assist and Nick Pilla scored once. Sean DeMott made three saves and Ryan Murphy stopped one shot. Evan Gacos picked up 12 ground balls.

Peter Schlendorf scored twice and had one assist to lead Donovan Catholic. Hunter MacPherson and Trevor Barber scored once and Peter Rao made four saves.

 

Lacey 12, Jackson Liberty 5

Senior midfielder Connor Wilson scored three goals with two assists and junior attackman JoeCarlo Chimenti had two goals plus four assists as Lacey (5-2, 4-0) came away with a home victory over Jackson Liberty (0-12, 0-4).

Sophomore midfielder Chris Augustine also had a hat trick for Lacey while Clayton Humcke and Dominic Waltonowski each had one goal and one assist and Dylan Vitale and Ryan Giles scored once. Justin Covey made 13 saves.

Gavin Ferullo had a hat trick and one assist for Jackson Liberty while Thomas Ferullo and Max Matthies each scored once. Sean Reid made 16 saves.

 

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 8 Ocean 16, Barnegat 1

Senior Sam Hanna had four goal and four assists to reach 200 career point and sophomore attackman Holden Lowe sank four goals and added three assists for a career-high seven points as the Spartans (8-2) rolled past the Bengals (1-7).

Jordan Ornowski had a hat trick plus one assist while Cole Conti scored twice and Mike Nies added a goal and two assists. Mike Kircher and Mike Huelster each scored once and David Walk made three saves in goal.

Dylan Corbett scored Barnegat's lone goal off an assist from Tristan Porcelli. Julian Schoenberger made 12 saves.

 

No. 9 Howell 9, Brick 6

Senior midfielder Nico Lorenzo scored three goals and added three assists and senior attackman Ryan Damelio scored a game-high four goals to lead the Rebels (8-2) past the Dragons (5-5).

Coleman Chrzan scored twice and Nick Roberto made nine saves for Howell.

Richie Cosgrove scored twice, Tyler Palmer made six saves and Will Swiderski, Nick D'Eufemia and Zion Powell scored one goal apiece for Brick.

 

No. 3 Southern 21, Red Bank 1

Senior midfielder Will Johnson scored a game-high five goals along wth one assist, senior attackman Kyle Mulrane scored four goals with three assists and sophomore attackman  Nick Fontana scored twice while dishing out five assists as the Rams (7-2) overwhelmed the Bucs (1-9).

Cade Johnson had a hat trick with two assists, Ryan Comfort scored twice with one assist, Anellio Russo had one goal and two assists and Anaji Steverson.

Nick Stankus scored his first varsity goal while Ryan McWhorter, Anthony Firmani and Austin Ogule also scored once. Tristan Farina made four saves and Luke Maul made two saves for Southern.

Brady Gilmartin had the lone goal for Red Bank while Matt Gibson made 10 saves.

 

No. 5 Freehold Township 12, No. 7 St. John Vianney 6

Senior attackman Josh Nastarowicz scored a game-high four goals with two assists and senior attackman Drew Dunn had a hat trick plus three assists to spearhead the Patriots (7-4) in their victory over the Lancers (6-5).

Senior midfielder Mike Ferdinandi added one goal and one assist and junior goalie Billy Patten made 10 saves. Chris Novella, Mike Martino, Nick Elimanco and Brenden Doel each scored once and defenseman Shawn Poole had an assist.

Senior attackman Chris Kelly had a hat trick for St. John Vianney and sophomore goalie C.J. Hanson made 14 saves. Ryan Gilfillan had one goal and two assists, Andrew Porretta one goal and one assist and Matt Franzoni scored once.

 

Jackson Memorial 11, No. 10 Colts Neck 1

Dakota Neron led the way by scoring three goals and adding two assists, while John Chitren also had a hat trick to help the Jaguars (6-3) shut down the Cougars (4-7).

Santo Porazzo and Matt Perillo each finished with one goal and one assist while Aaron Hutchinson and defensemen Jake Bryson and Sean Duggan scored once. Duggan also picked up a game-high 10 ground balls. Senior goalie Dylan Furnback made seven saves.

Dan SanFillippo scored the only goal for Colts Neck. Mike Franco made 13 saves.

 

Middletown South 13, Point Boro 0

Pete Lawson paced the offense with four goals with one assist and Matt Marino backstopped a perfect defensive effort with seven saves as the Eagles (7-1) blanked the Panthers (5-6) for their seventh consecutive victory.

Noah Diodato scored two goals with one assist and Mike Pagliettini and Pat Walsh also scored twice. Zach Albrecht and Alec Madden each finished with one goal and one assist and Ryan Mitsiopoulis scored once.

Point Boro goalie Parker Roncin made 15 saves.

 

Shore 10, St. Rose 7

Junior attackman Ryan Morris scored four goals with three assists and sophomore midfielder Gil Goldsmith scored twice and added four assists to power the Blue Devils (7-3) to a win over the Purple Roses (6-3).

Sophomore midfielder Jack McCrae had one goal and two assists and senior LSM Ean Delehanty had one goal and one assist. Lukas Jackey and Tom Bocco each scored once and Jack Brignola made 10 saves.

Chris Bormida led St. Rose with four goals while Shane Reilly, Mike Kinsel and Griffin McDermott each scored once. Robbie Brugnoli made seven saves.

 

Toms River East 6, Midddletown North 2

 

NONCONFERENCE

Robbinsville 8, No. 4 CBA 5

Robbie Hermansen had two goals and one assist and Mike Carroll also scored twice for the Colts (3-5) in a loss to the Raves (8-1).

Connor Macrae scored once, Ryan McGuiness made nine saves and Nick Casner and Ryan Madalone recorded one assist each.

 

West Windsor-Plainsboro South 10, Red Bank Catholic 4

Joey Caputo tallied one goal and one assist and Jack Kapcsos, Ryan Schellin and Jack Zenkert each scored once for Red Bank Catholic. Colin Marshall made 10 saves.
