Add another prestigious accolade to the list for Manasquan senior star Marina Mabrey.

The Notre Dame-bound standout was named the Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year on Thursday, the latest tremendous honor in a season in which she has also been named a McDonald's All-American after playing for the U18 national team that won gold over the summer. She is averaging a state-best 25.9 points per game along with 7.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.3 steals per game for the Warriors, who play in the Group II semifinals tonight as they try to repeat as Group II champions.

Marina joins her older sister, Michaela, who was the Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year for the 2011-12 season. Michaela is now a junior guard at Notre Dame, where Marina will join her next season. The two siblings are also the only sisters in New Jersey history to each surpass 2,000 points scoring in their careers. Both are also recipients of the annual Kerwin Award given by the Kerwin family of West Long Branch since 1974 to their selection as the Shore Conference's top player.
