Every week this regular season, Shore Conference football fans will have their chance to vote for the Lezgus Plumbing/Shore Sports Network Football Player of the Week on our website, with tens of thousands of votes cast already this season.

The Week Seven recipient is Jackson Memorial senior wide receiver/defensive back Kyle Johnson, who had a touchdown on each side of the ball in the Jaguars' 28-7 win over Toms River South that snapped a three-game losing streak. Johnson caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown, a 50-yard score from sophomore quarterback A.J. Tolmachewich. He also intercepted his second pass of the season and returned it 58 yards for a touchdown. Johnson has eight touchdowns this season with six receiving, one via interception and one punt return touchdown.

The Jaguars fans voted early and often, helping Johnson run away with the award with 57.6 percent of the votes. He easily beat out Point Boro's Noah Husak and Wall's Sean Larkin, who had big games to help their teams to crucial wins. Johnson is the second Jackson Memorial player to win the Player of the Week award this season, joining Week One Player of the Week, junior running back Mike Gawlik.
