Larkin Helps Wall Roll Past Central to Stay Unbeaten
WALL - Senior tailback Sean Larkin ran for a career-high 181 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries as Wall continued its impressive start with a 41-6 rout of visiting Central in a nondivisional game on Friday night.
The No. 8 Crimson Knights (2-0) built a 28-6 lead on the Golden Eagles (2-1) at the half by scoring on all of their first-half possessions outside of taking a knee in the final seconds of the second quarter. Larkin had touched runs of 13 and 68 yards in the first half as he racked up 103 yards on the ground by the break.
Junior quarterback Eddie Scott added a 45-yard touchdown strike to senior wideout R.J. Janeczek and junior Chevesse Covin had a 43-yard touchdown run in the second quarter on a jet sweep.
Larkin added touchdown runs of 33 and 18 yards in the third quarter to blow the game open for Wall, which has outscored its first two opponents 76-20. The Crimson Knights are off to their first 2-0 start in three years.
Joe Fowler threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Eli Allen in the loss for Central.
