No. 5 Red Bank 6, No. 8 Colts Neck 5

Senior midfielder Jake Smolokoff scored a game-high four goals and sophomore goalie Jon Pierce made 10 saves to help the Bucs (6-1, 2-0) stave off a late rally by the Cougars (3-2, 1-2). Karl Hottman and Cole Smolokoff also scored for Red Bank. Senior attackman Andrew Anzalone scored twice for Colts Neck and sophomore goalie Andrew Halmi made nine saves.

 

Wall 10, Ocean 4

Senior attackman Kyle McDonough scored three times to reach 100 for his career and lift the Crimson Knights (3-1, 2-0) past the Spartans (1-3, 0-2). Bruno Setteducati and Kyle Critchlow also scored three times for Wall. Sophomore attackman Erik Rant scored three times for Ocean.

Class A Central

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 12, No. 6 Manasquan 5

Sophomore attackman Robbie Geravente and senior attackman Dominic Padula each scored three goals, and senior midfielder Chris Hubler added two goals and an assist as the top-ranked Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0) cruised past the Warriors (4-2, 1-1).

 

No. 4 Red Bank Catholic 16, Msgr. Donovan 1

 

St. Rose 14, Ranney 3

Junior attackman Matt Frost scored seven goals and added six assists, and junior attackman Scott Dimmit struck six times for the Purple Roses (1-2, 1-1). Ranney falls to 1-3 and 0-2 in A Central.

 

St. John Vianney 8, Shore 3

Senior attackman Dan Louriero led a balanced attack with three goals while senior attackmen Christain Byer and T.J. Coleman scored twice to push the Lancers (3-1, 2-0) past the Blue Devils (1-3, 0-2). Junior midfielder Matt Adelfio added two assists and freshman middie Ryan Gilfillan scored a goal to go along with a game-high nine ground balls. Senior middie Dennis Vaccaro, junior attackman Chris Johnsen and sophomore middie Doug Goldsmith each scored for Shore.

 

 

Class A South

No. 2 Southern 16, Brick Memorial 3

Junior attackmen Dylan Jinks and Brendan Mullen each scored four goals, and sophomore attackman Nick Simonelli added three goals as the Rams (2-1, 2-0) dominated the Mustangs (3-2, 1-2). Mullen and junior midfielder Shawn McManus finished with three assists while Jinks had two. Senior midfielder Griffin Carney had a goal and an assist for Brick Memorial. Southern junior goalie Brendan Lefanto made nine saves while Mustangs senior goalie C.J. Guarino stopped 12 shots.

 

No. 10 Lacey 14, Brick 8

Senior attackman Joey Long scored five goals and senior Ronald Stawinski collected three goals and three assists to lead the Lions (5-1, 3-0) past the Dragons (2-3, 1-1). Freshman Connor Wilson scored twice and seniors Dan Cannon and Pat Quinn and junior Lucas Sirotniak each had a goal and an assist. Senior goalie Kyle Fischer made 6 saves to pick up the win.

Senior attackman David Kearns led the Dragons with five goals and sophomore attackman Anthony DiChristina scored twice.

 

Barnegat 7, Jackson Memorial 2

Junior midfielder Ricky Gerena and sophomore midfielder J.J. McKenne each scored twice while senior attackman Ethan Tonneson dished out three assists to propel the Bengals (4-0, 2-0) to victory over the Jaguars (0-5, 0-2). Senior middies Mark Magoon and Anthony Hause, and sophomore attackman Ryan Reynolds also tallied for Barnegat. Senior goalie Matt Grobelny made 16 saves. Troy Wolf and Jared Calhoun scored for Jackson Memorial and Cody Weisel made 10 saves.

 

Jackson Liberty 9, Toms River East 3

Junior midfielder Andrew Ferullo scored five goals and picked up seven ground balls in the Lions' victory over the Raiders (0-5, 0-2). Michael Roche scored twice and Billy Londis added two assists for Jackson Liberty (3-2, 1-1).

 

Toms River South 6, Toms River North 4
