Joey Appio and Erik Rant each sank five goals to pace the Spartans (3-5, 2-4) in their victory over the Green Wave (0-10, 0-6). Appio also had six assists and Connor Daly added three goals.

 

Neptune (1-7, 1-5) at Freehold Township (4-4, 2-2), 5:30 p.m.

 

 
Class A Central

Red Bank Catholic 9, St. John Vianney 6

 

Holmdel 12, St. Rose 4

Mark Scherzer scored a game-high five goals to lead the Hornets (7-3, 4-1) past the Purple Roses (1-5, 1-3). Matt Dixon, Joe Tages and Connor Shields each scored twice and Justin Ruiz made eight saves for Holmdel. Matt Frost had a goal and an assist for St. Rose.

 

 

Class A South

Southern 14, Toms River South 2

Brendan Mullen had four goals and three assists and Dylan Jinks had three goals and three assists to power the Rams (8-1, 6-0) to their eighth straight victory. Shawn McManus added two goals and two assists and Brendan Lefanto made eight saves. Joe Berlinski and C.J. Muller scored for the Indians (3-4, 2-3) and Jeremy Brown made 17 saves.

 

Barnegat 7, Lacey 6

Ryan Reynold's goal with under five minutes left in the fourth quarter snapped a 6-6 tie and sent the Bengals (8-0, 5-0) to a key divisional win over the Lions (9-2, 6-1). Dan Cannon had given Lacey a 6-5 lead with 9:28 to play, but Matt Manno tied the game at 5:50. Reynolds and Ricky Gerena each scored twice for Barnegat and Ethan Tonneson had four assists to pace the offense. Matt Grobelny made 14 saves, including five in the third quarter.

Dan Cannon had two goals and an assist and Joey Long tallied twice for Lacey. Kyle Fisher stopped 12 shots, six of which came in the second quarter.

 

Jackson Memorial 13, Toms River East 4

 

Brick Memorial 10, Brick 5

Dylan Visser finished with three goals and three assists and Bailey Sharpe scored twice while also assisting on four goals to lead the Mustangs (5-4, 3-4) past rival Dragons (4-7, 2-4).  C.J. Guarino made 15 saves for Brick Memorial. David Kearns led Brick with four goals.

 

Jackson Liberty (3-5, 1-4) at Toms River North (0-5, 0-5), 7 p.m.
