CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 7, No. 8 Jackson Liberty 2

Senior midfielder James Manzo scored a game-high three goals and added one assist to lead the Rams (3-0) past the Lions (3-1) in a nondivisional battle of ranked teams.

Senior attackman Nick Simonelli had a goal and an assist and junior goalie Tristan Farina made 15 saves. Kyle Mulrane, Will Johnson and Ryan McWhorter also tallied for Southern.

Dylan O'Connor and Matt Ferullo scored for Jackson Liberty, while Chris Mulholland made 14 saves.

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 5 Ocean 18, Ranney 1

Senior midfielder Erik Rant powered a relentless Spartans (4-0) attack with six goals and four assists while junior Sam Hanna registered four goals and four assists to help lead the takedown of the Panthers (0-2).

Freshman Holden Lowe scored five goals and senior Joey Appio had two goals plus three assists. Freshman Mike Nies also got on the scoreboard with a goal for Ocean. Junior goalie David Walk made seven saves to earn the win.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 2 Manasquan 12, No. 4 CBA 5

A balanced attack and a stingy defense powered the red-hot Warriors (5-0) to another crucial victory, this time over the Colts (1-2) in head coach Sean Cunningham's first trip back to face his alma mater in Middletown.

Freshman midfielder James Pendergist scored a game-high three goals and junior attackman Jarrett Birch continued his fantastic start with two goals and one assist to lead Manasquan's offense. John Moran, Pat Felstedt and Canyon Birch also scored twice while Joe Tonkovich added a goal.

Junior attackman Nick Casner had a goal and an assist for CBA.

NONCONFERENCE

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 10, Allentown 3

Senior attackman Henry Sillen scored a game-high four goals and junior midfielder Bryan Hess scored three times and added two assists as the top-ranked Bulldogs (2-1) dodged their way past the Redbirds (1-2).

Junior attackman Charlie Curran scored twice, sophomore attackman Wyatt Feinberg had a goal and two assists and senior attackman Robbie Garavente assisted on a pair of goals. Junior defenseman Emmett Jennings had four takeaways and four ground balls, and senior midfielder Lachlan Hull picked up six ground balls.

 

Robbinsville 15, No. 7 Freehold Township 7

Junior attackman Josh Nastarowicz scored three goals with one assist and Mike Colicchia had a goal and an assist as the Patriots (1-2) fell to the Ravens (2-2).
