CLASS A SOUTH

Lacey 14, Brick 6

Senior midfielder Ryan Mahon scored a game-high five goals with one assist to lead the Lions (2-0, 1-0) past the Dragons (0-1, 0-1).

Sophomore attackman JoeCarlo Chimenti sank three goals with one assist and junior midfielder Connor Wilson had two goals and two assists. Sophomore midfielder Justin Covey also scored twice. Senior goalie Mike Trezza made 13 saves and also picked up an assist.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 7 Freehold Township 16, Jackson Memorial 3

Junior midfielder Mike Ferdinandi scored a game-high four goals  and junior attackman Drew Dunn had a goal and five assists to power the Patriots (1-1) past the Jaguars (1-1).

Sophomore attackman Chris Novella finished with two goals and three assists, senior attackman Matt Lach had three goals and one assist and juniors Josh Nastarowicz and Mike Colicchia also scored three times. Sophomore goalie Billy Patten made four saves.

Henry Smith scored twice for Jackson and Dylan Furnback made 14 saves.

 

Brick Memorial 10, No. 9 Wall 9 (OT)

Junior attackman Henry Moran scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime period to lift the unranked Mustangs (3-0) to a nondivisional victory over the Crimson Knights (1-1).

Moran finished with two goals and three assists and fellow junior attackman Gavin Murphy scored a game-high five goals and also had two assists. Senior attackman Billy Porter added two goals and two assists and junior midfielder Mike Mowder also scored. Junior Adam Plumacher picked up a game-high 13 ground balls and senior Chris Sayers made 14 saves.

Sophomore attackman Mike McIntyre scored four goals for Wall and senior attackman Mike Steppe had a goal and four assists. Senior midfielder Lucas Iarossi added two goals and one assist and and sophomore midfielder Tim O'Hern had a goal and an assist to go along with a team-high seven ground balls. Junior defenseman Joseph Belko had six ground balls and senior goalie Zach Harrell made 21 saves

 

Middletown North 13, Donovan Catholic 12 (OT)

Senior attackman Ryan Aker scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime as the Lions (2-0) outlasted the Griffins (1-2).

Aker finished with two goals and two assists and senior attackman Bryan Flannigan scored five goals. Senior midfielder Khristian Acosta added three goals and two assists and Anthony Manfredi made 11 saves.

 

Howell 9, Holmdel 8

Senior midfielder Nic Rossi scored 10 seconds into the first overtime period to lift the Rebels (1-2) to a thrilling victory over the Hornets (0-2) in a driving rainstorm Monday night.

Junior attackman Drew Bukowiec scored all three of his goals in the second half, including the game-tying tally with 50 seconds left, and added one assist. Junior attackman Ryan Damielo also had three goals and one assist while Rossi finished with two goals and two assists. Junior midfielder Nico Lorenzo had one goal and one assist and sophomore goalie Nick Roberto made 10 saves.
