Red Bank 23, Long Branch 3

Karl Hottman led the way with nine goals and three assists as the Bucs (10-2, 6-1) blew out the Green Wave (0-11, 0-7).

 

Class A South

Southern 15, Lacey 1

Junior attackman Dylan Jinks scored six goals and dished out two assists to lead the Rams (9-1, 7-0) to their ninth straight win. Shawn McManus and Chris Smith each scored three times while Brendan Mullan had a goal and two assists. Junior goalie Brendan Lefanto made nine saves. Senior attackman Joey Long scored the only goal for Lacey (9-3, 6-2) and Kyle Fisher made nine saves.

 

Barnegat 13, Jackson Liberty 5

Sophomore midfielder J.J. McKenna scored a game-high four goals to help the Bengals (9-0, 6-0) remain undefeated by topping the Lions (3-7, 1-6). Matt Manno, Ethan Tonneson and Ricky Gerena added two goals apiece and Matt Grobelny made 12 saves.

 

Toms River North at Toms River East, 7 p.m.

 

Nonconference

Middletown North 17, Hamilton West 5

Junior attackman Justin Russo scored four goals and delivered four assists to power the Lions (3-8) past the Hornets (5-6). Junior midfielder Chris Fisher scored a game-high five goals, sophomore attackman Bryan Flannigan had three goals and an assist and junior midfielder Tom Terranova had a goals and five assists to pace Middletown North's offense. Sophomore defenseman Hayden Fairhurst had a team-high nine ground balls and junior goalie Kevin Powers made 10 saves.

 

 

Princeton 14, Christian Brothers Academy 5

Kevin Halliday burned the Colts with seven goals and two assists to lead the Little Tigers (9-2) to the nonconference victory. Seniors Thomas Deiner and Frank Isola each scored twice, while sophomore Matt McGuiness had a goal and an assist and junior goalie Evan Bynoe made nine saves for CBA (7-2).
