8. All Hands on Deck

Manasquan has been known to dip into its back of tricks at the perfect time and the Warriors did exactly that during a 40-21 win over Delaware Valley in the Central Jersey Group 2 quarterfinals. Canyon Birch takes the handoff on a toss before flipping it to wide receiver James Pendergist on a reverse. Quarterback Ryan O'Leary gets into the action with a block to spring Pendergist on his way to a 37-yard touchdown run.

7. Tips are Appreciated

Long Branch had four interceptions during a 42-0 win over Middletown North in the Central Jersey Group 4 quarterfinals, including this great pick by senior linebacker Luke Arnold where he tips the ball high in the air and then secures the interception.

6. Garrett is Gone

Is this the longest quarterback sneak ever? Well, it isn't quite a traditional quarterback sneak but Point Boro's Garrett Romer took the snap and immediately darted up the middle for a 75-yard touchdown run in the Panthers' regional crossover win over Middle Township.

5. Clutch Catch

Red Bank's Nigel Mitchell makes a great catch in the corner of the end zone by making sure to get one foot in bounds on a 14-yard touchdown catch to give the Bucs a 14-13 lead on their way to a 30-13 win over Allentown in the Central Jersey Group 3 quarterfinals.

4. Spartan Sprint

Ocean's Trebor Pena provided the Spartans' only points in a 28-7 loss to Rumson in the Central Jersey Group 3 quarterfinals with a great 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

3. Horse Race

Brick Memorial gambled on 4th and 2 from its own 36-yard line against Freehold, but the risk paid off when senior Jeff Lavarin took a pitch 64 yards for a touchdown. The score tied the game at 13 and the ensuing extra point gave the Mustangs a 14-13 lead on their way to a 21-13 win in the Central Jersey Group 4 quarterfinals.

2. Purple Rain

With Rumson holding a 21-7 lead on Ocean in the fourth quarter and backed up inside the 5-yard line, quarterback Collin Coles connected with senior tight end Ian O'Connor for a 98-yard touchdown pass to put the game away and send the Bulldogs to the semifinals.

1. Heady Play

Manalapan senior tight end Alan Presler made a tremendous 28-yard catch during the Braves' 14-7 win over Hunterdon Central in the Central Jersey Group 5 quarterfinals, going over the defenders head and pinning to the ball to his helmet to gain control.
