Every week this fall, Jersey Mike’s and Shore Sports Network will be selecting a Team of the Week based on its performance over the past weekend.

The Jersey Mike’s Team of the Week for Week Six is Middletown South, which defeated Manalapan 42-7 in a Class A North game to end a five-game losing streak to the Braves. The Eagles and head coach Steve Antonucci were presented with a special game ball at practice by Shore Sports Network’s Steve Meyer and Jersey Mike's representative Kathryn DiCorcia. The players were also treated to free Jersey Mike’s subs from the Jersey Mike's Holmdel location.

Middletown South is ranked No. 1 in the Shore Sports Network Top 10, and is also the No. 1 team in New Jersey as ranked by NJ.com. The Eagles are currently first in power points in North Jersey Section 2, Group IV as they work toward the program's 10th sectional title. They have a tough nondivisional game on Friday when they travel south to meet No. 6 Brick Memorial (5-1).

Middletown South is the sixth recipient of the Jersey Mike's Team of the Week award this season, which is selected by the Shore Sports Network staff.
