Imamu Mayfield Explodes for 277 Yards to Lead Manalapan Past Old Bridge in CJ Group V

Senior quarterback Dan Anerella went 10-for-15 for 124 yards and threw a career-high four touchdown passes, two of them to senior tight end Kyle Mullen, and senior tailback Imamu Mayfield exploded for a career-high 277 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries as the Braves (9-1) knocked off the Knights (5-4) to set up a semifinal match-up at second-seeded Hillsborough.

Wideouts Tyson Plummer and Gerard Hodge-Rocourt each had touchdown catches for Manalapan. Linebacker Simon Bublis had 8 tackles and Mullen had 7 tackles, including a tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery, and senior linebacker Joe Mendez and senior defensive back Dan Debner each had interceptions to lead the defense.
