Class A North

No. 5 Howell 7, No. 8 Colts Neck 4

Jason Kenny and Nick Rossi each scored twice and Zack Ornstein won 10 of 13 face-offs to lead the Rebels (4-0, 1-0) past the Cougars (0-2, 0-1) in Colts Neck. Mark Buannic tallied one goal and one assist and Jake Sherman and Ornstein also sank goals for Howell. Ian Colmorgan made seven saves to preserve the victory.

Chris Bisignano, Julian Antonio Cruz and Anthony Mauriello scored for Colts Neck while junior goalie Andrew Halmi was fantastic with 19 saves, including 14 in the first half.

The win for Howell is its first over Colts Neck since 2011.

 

Nondivisional

Toms River North 7, No. 4 St. John Vianney 6 (OT)

Tyler Foss tied the game in the fourth quarter and Andrew Lombardi won it in overtime as the Mariners (2-1) stunned the Lancers (2-3) in Toms River.

 

Lacey 15, Neptune 2

Dan McAvoy scored a game-high four goals and Tim Gleason scored twice and dished out four assists as the Lions (4-1) topped the Scarlet Fliers (1-3) in Neptune. Kiernan Quinn had three goals and two assists, Connor Wilson scored three times and Lucas Sirotniak had two goals and two assists. Mike Trezza made five saves in goal.

 

Ocean 11, No. 9 Barnegat 10

Erik Rant scored a team-high five goals, including the game-winning goal with one second left to lift the Spartans (3-0) to a thrilling win over the Bengals (2-1) in Barnegat. Joey Appio added two goals and two assists and David Walk made 11 saves. Christian Goslin, Haydn Matarazzo, Connor Daly and Zack Karasic also scored while Steven Graziano had a game-high eight ground balls.

J.J. McKenna led Barnegat with five goals and one assist. Ricky Gerena added two goals and two assists, Matt Manno had two goals and one assist and Tristian Potts finished with a goal and an assist. Kyle Kessinger made 11 saves.

 

No. 6 Manasquan 13, Red Bank 5

Chris Klodowski scored a game-high goals along with one assist and sophomore John Moran added three goals and two assists as the Warriors (4-1) won their fourth straight by downing the Bucs (1-4) in Little Silver.

Devan Carroll and Jarrett Birch each finished with two goals and one assist and Paddie Felstedt also tallied. Tom Pollack made 11 saves.

Dan Vilardi scored twice for Red Bank and Cole Smolokoff had a goal and an assist. John Pierce made 13 saves.
