Girls Basketball Monmouth County Week 6 Player of the Week

The Basketball Player of the Week has been a staple of Shore Sports Network's coverage over the years and we have always left it up to the fans to decide the winner -- and still do. Now, SSN is recognizing its own choices for Player of the Week, not just in the Shore Conference, but in Monmouth and Ocean Counties individually.

Monmouth County Week 6 Player of the Week Presented by Savvy Fit Soaps

Laila Hagan, Manalapan

Hagan has been Manalapan’s go-to player all season on offense and averaged 14.5 points in Week 6. She also made the biggest shot of the season for Manalapan and was selected as Monmouth County Player of the Week for her play.

On the road against Barnegat, who was fighting to qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament, Hagan made the biggest shot of the season to give Manalapan the 40-38 victory. Trailing 38-37, Hagan got the ball on top of the key and drained a 3-pointer as time expired for the win. It was one of her four 3-pointers as she tied a season-high 18 points.
