CLASS A NORTH

William Oxley pinned Taylor Larkin at 220 pounds in the marquee out of the match as the Colts (7-3, 4-0) rolled past the Patriots (3-8, 2-5).

Oxley improved to 15-1 with the victory while Larkin dropped to 14-4. Junior Nick Shutzenhofer at 106 and senior Jack LaCorte at 195 also ran their records 15-1. Senior Dylan VanSickell won by forfeit at 132 pounds to remain unbeaten at 13-0, senior Sebastian Rivera improved to 11-1 and sophomore Rich Koehler improved to 11-2.

Freehold Township sophomore Kyle Hillermeier won by fall at 145 pounds for his 10th win of the season.

 

CLASS B CENTRAL

Alex Erven (7-0) and Teddy Smith (8-1) won by forfeit for the Red Raiders (2-3, 2-1) while Fenelon Etienne improved to 8-4 with a pin for the Blue Bishops (1-8, 1-3).

 

NONDIVISIONAL

The Jaguars (9-1) picked up bonus points in six of their eight wins to down the Lions (8-3) and continue their dominant run against their district rivals. Jackson Memorial now leads the all-time series 9-0.

Jaguars senior Chris Mondello (12-2) pinned Chris Pondish (14-3) at 220 pounds and Adante Davis (12-3) defeated Jerald Goodman (12-3) 2-1 in double overtime for a pair of crucial victories for Jackson Memorial. Tim Hamann improved to 12-1 with a win by decision at 152 pounds while Mike Spino (8-1) and Matt McGowen (12-1) won by fall at 120 and 126 pounds, respectively.

Jackson Liberty senior Tyler Kalmowitz edged Tanner Kelly 2-1 in triple overtime at 170 pounds to improve to 17-1 and hand Kelly (4-1) his first loss.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Junior Troy Gallo (13-1) won by fall in 55 seconds at 126 pounds and senior Garrett Hilsheimer (13-2) received a forfeit at 170 pounds as the Hornets (6-3) won 10 bouts to defeat the host Tornados.

Dean Gallo (12-2), Scott Dupont (11-4), Chris Ammirati (12-3) and Seamus Wood (11-5) were all victorious for Holmdel to continue their solid seasons.

 

Senior Alex Johnson won by fall at 145 pounds for his 99th career victory and the Blue Devils (8-2) won 10 of 14 bouts to take down the Raiders.

Tim Klemser, John Biagi, Paul Tietjen, Mike Rosati and Joe Aria also won by fall for Shore. Biagi recorded a pin in just 22 seconds at 152 pounds. Klemser's victory upped his record to a team-best 16-1.
