Middletown North 33, Freehold Township 0

The Lions (3-5, 3-2) clinched a spot in Central Jersey Group IV for their first state playoff berth since 2009, as sophomore running back Chad Freshnock ran for two touchdowns and had a 47-yard touchdown catch on a screen pass while the defense posted its first shutout since 2009.

A 2-yard touchdown run by senior tailback Anthony Gargiulo in overtime gave the Cougars (7-1, 4-1) the win over the Eagles (4-4, 3-2) and most likely secured a top-three seed in the Central Jersey Group IV playoffs.

The Eagles sent the game into overtime thanks to a 16-yard interception return for a touchdown by senior defensive lineman Conner Spreen in the third quarter to tie it at 21.

Gargiulo also had a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and Dan Calabro had a big game with a 71-yard interception return for a touchdown and a 75-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Christian Sanchez that gave Colts Neck a 21-7 lead in the second quarter.

Jeremy Concepcion had touchdown runs of 2 and 1 yards for Middletown South that cut Colts Neck's lead to 21-14 at the half.

Class A Central

No. 4 Rumson-FH 22, No. 5 Manasquan 15

A 1-yard touchdown run by fullback Dylan Zohn on fourth-and-goal with 54 seconds left in the game snapped a 15-15 tie and sent the Bulldogs (8-0, 5-0) to a thrilling win over the Warriors (6-2, 4-2) that unofficially locked up the No. 1 seed in Central Jersey Group II for Rumson.

Rumson's game-winning drive was set up by a fumble recovery by senior Sam Shaud at Manasquan's 9-yard line after the Bulldogs had missed a 26-yard field goal attempt at the end of a drive that consumed 10 minutes. Junior tailback Charlie Volker ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the win, while the defense shut out the Warriors in the second half.

Manasquan took a 15-7 lead at halftime, becoming the first team to score more than one touchdown against Rumson all season. Senior quarterback Tucker Caccavale threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to junior tight end Tanner Cowley and a 30-yard touchdown pass to senior wideout Joe Fittin.

Tight end Paul Calamaras had a 35-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Jack Gifford that cut it to 10-7, and senior tailback Pete Miceli scored on a 53-yard screen pass from Gifford with 44 seconds left to make it 17-14 before Neptune recovered the onside kick to win it.

Class B Central

Asbury Park 30, Keansburg 0

Senior quarterback Robert Barksdale ran for 80 yards and two touchdowns and also threw for 81 yards, and the defense limited Keansburg to 107 yards as the Blue Bishops (6-2, 3-2) blanked the Titans (1-8, 0-5).

Sophomore Charles Sanders ran for 93 yards on 7 carries, including a 41-yard touchdown run, senior Daquane Bland-Bennett added a 51-yard touchdown run, and junior Tyquis Davis had a 60-yard touchdown run in the win. Point Boro 19, Lakewood 18

The previously winless Panthers (1-8, 1-6) stunned the Piners (5-3, 4-2) as quarterback Jack Fitzsimmons ran for a 1-yard touchdown in the third quarter and Collin Ansbach's extra point proved to be the difference.

Fitzsimmons also had a 33-yard touchdown run in the win.

Manchester 18, Central 13

Shaquille Benjamin ran for two touchdowns, including a 10-yarder with two minutes left in the third quarter that made it 18-6, as the Hawks (3-5, 3-3) upset the Golden Eagles (5-3, 5-2) to deny them a chance to win their first division title since 1994.

The win unofficially qualifies Manchester for the South Jersey Group III playoffs, while also giving Barnegat at least a tie for the Class B South title. Barnegat can win it outright by beating Pinelands on Thanksgiving.
