SHORE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

FIRST ROUND

2-Manasquan 21, 15-Lacey 4

Junior attackman Canyon Birch sank four goals and added two assists and junior linemate Ryan Anderson had four goals and one assist as the defending-champion Warriors (12-2) wiped out the Lions (6-6) to advance to the quarterfinals.

Manasquan had 12 different goal scorers and jumped out to a 10-1 lead after the first quarter to put the game away early. James Mele and Mike Farinacci added two goals and one assist each while Casey Campbell also scored twice. Trey Brehm, Matt Franzoni and Mike Page each had one goal and one assist and James Pendergist, Casey Mulligan, Evan Hilla and Mike Cielecki had one goal apiece. Mike LaPoint Made three saves to earn the win and Nick Vitale had one save.

Dylan Vitale scored twice and Ryan Giles and JoeCarlo Chimenti scored one goal each for Lacey.

NONDIVISIONAL

Neptune 11, Barnegat 5

Nick Brown tallied four goals and one assist, Kevin Clohosey had a hat trick and Seamus McAnee made 10 saves to steer the Scarlet Fliers (4-8) past the Bengals (0-12). Jahi Neely, Chase Fairbanks, Logan Brown and Jared Popalowski added one goal apiece.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Middletown North 12, Edison 1

Quinn Aker fired in four goals and added one assist and Pete Abbes tallied three goals and one assist as the Lions (8-7) defeated the Lions (2-11). Evan Fuertes added two goals and one assist while Joe Blackwood and Brayden Gazzette each had one goal and one assist. Jordan Farmer also scored, Zach Fleming went 12-for-16 on face-offs and Justin Dickinson made seven saves.
