Welcome to the 2017 edition of the Shore Sports Network’s top plays, highlighting the most dazzling and exciting moments from Shore Conference football action.

This week we take a look at the top clips from Week 3. We can’t be filming every game at once, so if you have a great clip on YouTube, Vimeo or some other service where it can be embedded, or if you have the raw video file, feel free to email me a link at bob.badders@townsquaremedia.com or tweet it to me at @Bob_Badders.

Let’s get to some of the best plays from the Week 3 games.

9. Take it to the Banks

On the final play of the first half, Central senior defensive back Jonathan Banks came up with an interception and returned it 45 yards for a touchdown, which proved to be the difference in the Golden Eagles' 14-13 win over Jackson Memorial to remain tied for first place in Class A South.

8. Dewise Demolition

Middletown North senior Austin Dewise is proving to be one of the best two-way players in the Shore Conference. His exploits as an edge rusher are well known, but he is also a dynamic tight end with deceptive speed. Also, don't get in his way.

7. Andre Laney Goes the Distance

Donovan Catholic's Andre Laney gets behind Point Boro's defense, then jukes free from a pair of defenders for a 67-yard touchdown reception.

6. Naim Mayfield, Vol. Infinity

Here's your weekly dose of Naim Mayfield highlights. This time the Manalapan senior bursts through the line on his way to a 73-yard touchdown. Mayfield's balance is incredible, and he's such a smooth runner. Fun to watch, every time.

5. Big Mo

Sean Morris is having a tremendous year for 3-0 Barnegat with great plays on both sides of the ball. He had five catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns, including climbing the ladder on this 28-yard catch. It's pretty hard to defend an athletic tight end with hops like this.

4. Catch 22

Monmouth Regional is now 4-0 for the first time since 2006 after a 14-13 win over Matawan in Week 3. A major reason is this 93-yard touchdown pass from Dayshawn Porter to Devon Johnson, which I believe is the longest scoring play in the Shore Conference this season.

3. Day at the Beach

This is an outstanding catch by Point Beach's Josh Yates, going up and over an Asbury Park defender and somehow getting a foot down inbounds for a 27-yard touchdown that was crucial in the Garnet Gulls' 22-19 comeback victory to improve to 3-0.

2. Ashante Worthy Does it Again

How do you stop Ashante Worthy when he can do things like this? The answer so far is: you don't. When he's pull off plays like this it's almost unfair. The fact that he had the presence of mind to look back downfield is so impressive.

1. Peter Lucas Jukes Everybody

Peter Lucas is very fast, this we know. He also has some great moves in the open field, which he showcases on this brilliant run against Holmdel.
