Welcome to the inaugural 2017 edition of the Shore Sports Network’s top plays, highlighting the most dazzling and exciting moments from Shore Conference football action.

This week we take a look at the top clips from Week One. We can’t be filming every game at once, so if you have a great clip on YouTube, Vimeo or some other service where it can be embedded, or if you have the raw video file, feel free to email me a link at bob.badders@townsquaremedia.com or tweet it to me at @Bob_Badders.

Let’s get to some of the best plays from the first full week of the season.

10. Touchdown Terry

Shore Regional sophomore Terry Carlstrom hauls in a  76-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Morris to get the Blue Devils on the board and force overtime in their eventual 12-6 win over defending Central Jersey Group I champion Asbury Park

9. Bringing the Thunder

Barnegat's Sean Morris had a big game against Donovan Catholic, which earned hims SSN Player of the Week honors. Here he goes unblocked into the backfield to level the Donovan Catholic ball carrier.

8. Tip-Tap Pat

Freehold Township's Pat Laricy with a great catch in the back of the end zone. Somehow he is able to get one foot in bounds to complete the catch.

7. More Mayfield Magic

Naim Mayfield had an unreal stat line in Manalapan's win over Marlboro, rushing for 260 yards and five touchdowns on just 10 carries. This run stood out because of the balance Mayfield showed on a juke where he dips underneath a would-be tackler.

6. Plowing Through

At first it looks like Lacey quarterback Coleton Klaus is going to be stopped for a modest gain. Then, somehow, he emerges from a pile after being surrounded by Toms River South defenders and walks into the end zone.

5. Wily Wildcat

This is a great second-effort by Pinelands running back Evan Burton, who looks to be stopped for a short gain before breaking free and getting loose down the sideline for a big gain. A nice juke at the end of the run for some extra yards, as well.

4. Zack Attack

Not even a missing cleat could stop Red Bank Catholic's Zack Bair on this 78-yard touchdown run. He goes from nearly being stopped in the backfield to making moves on the sideline while his shoe comes flying off. Nicely done.

3. Spin-O-Rama

Howell quarterback Eddie Morales shows off his running ability on this touchdown run, and hits the spin button at the perfect time to leave a Colts Neck defender in his dust.

2. Speedy Petey

Rumson-Fair Haven's Peter Lucas had a monster game with 297 yards rushing and four touchdowns in a win over Raritan. On this 71-yard touchdown run he showcases his agility, as well, making several Rockets defenders miss on his way to the end zone.

1. Ashante's At it Again

Ashante Worthy had a special season last year, which included a 465-yard, 8-touchdown game to set the Shore Conference single-game rushing record. He picked up 2017 right where he left off last year, combining for 461 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Freehold Township. This run is just ludicrous. I count seven missed tackles forced by Worthy.
