Rumson-Fair Haven head football coach Bryan Batchler has been placed on administrative leave for an undisclosed personnel matter, according to multiple reports.

Originally reported by redbankgreen.com, Batchler was placed on paid leave on Dec. 14  just over a week after guiding the Bulldogs to the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group III championship. Batchler is the first coach in Shore Conference history to lead a team to championships in each of his first three seasons. Rumson became just the fifth Shore Conference program to win three straight titles.

Prior to becoming head coach, Batchler was a Rumson assistant since 2005 under current Holmdel athletic director Shane Fallon, who was the the Bulldogs head coach from 1998 to 2012. He has been a math teacher in the district since the 2008-2009 school year.
