Add another Shore Conference football vacancy to the list, as Derek Reichenbecher said Thursday that he has stepped down as the head coach at Howell after two seasons for personal reasons.

Reichenbecher's teams went 5-15 in his two seasons with the Rebels, including a 4-6 season this past fall. Reichenbecher was an assistant under former longtime head coach Cory Davies before ascending to the head job in 2012. Reichenbecher was also previously the head boys lacrosse coach at Howell.

His decision to step down now leaves vacancies at Howell, Keyport, Wall, Neptune and Manchester as the school year winds down.
