Football: Chris Okupski Flips to Maine After Previously Committing to Albany
Shore Regional senior two-way lineman Chris Okupski joined Manalapan's Saeed Blacknall in flipping to a new destination on Sunday.
Okupski, who was previously verbally committed to the University of Albany before the season, said Sunday that he is now going to sign with the University of Maine.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound senior, a three-year varsity starter, was an All-Class B Central pick by the coaches and a Shore Sports Network second-team All-Shore selection. He helped the Blue Devils win the Class B Central title and reach their second straight Central Jersey Group I final.
Okupski joins Toms River South wideout/defensive back Darrius Hart in the incoming recruiting class for Maine.
