Players may come and go but the winning tradition of Toms River High School South baseball continues year in and year out.  What makes the program tick in baseball-crazy Toms River is the subject of a one-hour documentary that will premiere on Sunday, April 8 at the Grunin Center on the campus of Ocean County College.

South Baseball-The Spirit of Winning features Ken Frank, the winningest high school baseball coach in New Jersey and its best-known alum in Mets third baseman Todd Frazier.

Veteran television journalist Sandra Levine, a Toms River South graduate, has spent two years working on the film which includes interviews with players, coaches and sports insiders including yours truly.  She sat down with me recently to discuss the project and what motivated her to make a baseball documentary.
