Last Saturday we traveled out to Saint Francis University in hopes of getting our record above .500 for the first time this season.

We came up short, however, in many facets of the game and lost 28-10.  The most frustrating part for me was that the defense played well enough to earn a victory in my opinion.  The offense didn't do the same and we let our defense down.  We didn't have a rhythm, and we simply didn't put enough points on the board.

Now we are back in the same position as we were two weeks ago, trying to get back to .500.  This Saturday is our Homecoming game against Cornell University, with kickoff at 1:00pm.  It is so hard to imagine this is the fifth homecoming game that I will be a part of at Kessler field.

It feels like it was just yesterday when I was a freshman and I would see all of our former teammates come back to watch us play.  Now I'm a fifth-year senior and I'm the guy that can't wait to see former teammates that I might not have seen since they graduated.

Everybody knows how packed the stands will be on Saturday and how important this game is to us.  We want to play our best game of the season, especially since there will be a lot of people there who may not have been able to see a game all season.  The team also realizes that our opponent will know it is our Homecoming.

Whenever we play in an opponent’s Homecoming game it gives us extra motivation to win, and spoil any celebration that was planned.  We realize this and understand that Cornell is going to give us a very tough football game.  This will be our third of only four home games this year so make sure you make it out to Kessler Field this Saturday for the 1:00 kickoff.  See you there!
