Coach Callahan Announces Monmouth Football’s 2014 Signees [LIVE VIDEO]

Monmouth University will hold its seventh annual Football National Signing Day Celebration on Wednesday with the addition of 20 student athletes.  Watch a special starting at 11:45 a.m. on ShoreSportsNetwork.com.

Monmouth football radio broadcasters Matt Harmon and Eddy Occhipinti will host a one-hour online special with Coach Kevin Callahan, MU Recruiting Coordinator Brian Gabriel and members of his staff to discuss Monmouth's 2014 signees.

“This is our first recruiting class as a member of the Big South Conference and the quality of the players that make up this class is outstanding,” said Callahan. “Our recruiting philosophy is to work from the inside out and this group contains seven players from New Jersey including a number of local players. Additionally, joining the Big South has allowed us to extend our geographic footprint from Massachusetts to Florida while continuing to be successful recruiting the players from the Mid-Atlantic region.”

The 2014 recruiting class includes 20 total student-athletes.  Of the class, seven are from the New Jersey, four hail from Pennsylvania, two from Florida, Maryland and Virginia and one each from New York, Massachusetts and Illinois.

Monmouth begins spring football practice on Tuesday, March 25. The Annual Blue/White Spring game is tentatively slated for Saturday, April 26.
