Central Regional Hockey Team Skates For a Cause

On Saturday Dec. 12, Central's hockey team hosted its fourth annual Christmas Skate with Santa at Winding River Skating Center.

The event, which is organized by Golden Eagles head coach Joe Pelliccio, has members of the team dressed as elves and Santa Claus helping local children with Autism enjoy what is a holiday tradition for many: skating to the sounds of holiday music.

Following the skating session, the team hosted a barbecue picnic for all the families that attended. This year's event had around 100 children skating, according to Central athletic director John Scran.
