Jerry Bruno has resigned after seven seasons as the head girls basketball coach at Donovan Catholic High School. Bruno submitted a letter of resignation to Athletic Director Joe Gomulka and said while the decision was a difficult one it was the right time for him to step down. Bruno’s Griffins posted winning records in all seven of the seasons he coached, including four consecutive Class B South championships. This past season they went 19-7 and lost only one conference game.

Gomulka said the school would begin an immediate search to find a successor.
