NJSIAA Tournament

Quarterfinals

Central Jersey Group IV

(4) Neptune 21, (5) Freehold Boro 7

The Scarlet Fliers (7-2) won their sixth straight game, holding the Colonials (7-3) to 161 total yards on their way to advancing to face top-seeded Middletown South in the semifinals.

Senior quarterback Royal Moore ran for a 5-yard touchdown and also threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Isaiah Calhoun. Senior running back Jaree Parrish added a 7-yard touchdown run as the Scarlet Fliers built a 21-7 halftime lead and blanked the Colonials in the second half.

Junior quarterback Jake Curry threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Bailey Indursky in the loss for Freehold.

Central Jersey Group II

(1) Roselle 26, (8) Lakewood 8

Junior running back Amir Tyler had a 95-yard touchdown run as the Piners (4-5) fell to the Rams (7-2) and will wrap up their season against old rival Toms River South on Thanksgiving.

Non-Public Group I

(5) Mater Dei Prep 48, (4) Morristown-Beard 0

Senior quarterback Christian Palmer continued his monster season as he threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns as the Seraphs (8-2) tied the single-season school record for wins by routing the Crimson (6-4) for their second shutout of the season to advance to face top-seeded defending champion St. Joseph's-Hammonton on the road in the semifinals.

Palmer threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to sophomore wideout Eddie Lewis, a 69-yard score on a screen pass to senior running back Tyson Stamper, a 23-yard score on another screen pass to Stamper, and a 78-yard bomb to senior wideout Tysaun White while also running for touchdowns of 85 and 40 yards.

NJSIAA consolation games

Woodrow Wilson 32, Pinelands 8

The Wildcats (2-7) fell to the Tigers (2-7) and will finish the season with a Class B South game against Barnegat the night before Thanksgiving.

Lacey 48, Manchester 14

Senior quarterback Conor Davies went 24-for-30 for 268 yards and threw four touchdown passes, all of them to wideout Mike Bocchini, and also ran for a score to lead the Lions (3-7) to a win over the Hawks (0-9) in their season finale.

Bocchini finished with 7 catches for 59 yards and wideout Sean Cahalane also had a big game with 8 catches for 108 yards. George Sayre added 83 yards rushing and a touchdown on 12 carries and also had 5 catches for 75 yards.

Toms River East 21, Donovan Catholic 19 (OT) 

The Raiders (1-9) pulled out their first win in their final game of the season by getting a stop on a two-point conversion attempt in overtime to beat the Griffins (0-9).

Howell 28, Cherry Hill East 19

Senior running back Jarvis Leaks had 209 yards rushing and two touchdowns and Nic Rossi had 3 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown and also returned a kickoff for a touchdown as the Rebels (3-7) ended the season with a win over the Cougars (1-8).

Manville 41, Keansburg 32

Ian Terry had a 42-yard touchdown run and Arkeyel Brown had a 75-yard scoring run as the Titans (1-9) ended the season with a loss to the Mustangs (1-9). Brown had three carries for 101 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

Keyport 41, Wood-Ridge 21

Senior Chase Bright ran for a career-high 191 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries and sophomore Ky'Sun Pryor added 155 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 29 carries to help the Red Raiders (3-7) end the season with a win over the Blue Devils (2-8).

Monmouth 28, Point Boro 7

The Falcons (3-6) picked up a win over the Panthers (5-5) and will finish up their season on Thanksgiving against Ocean.

Red Bank 38, Lawrence 8

The Bucs (5-4) topped the Cardinals (3-6) as junior quarterback Jack Navitsky ran for a 50-yard touchdown and also threw a 50-yard touchdown to junior wideout Sadiq Palmer to lead the way.

Palmer also had a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown, and Teddy Mitchell scored on a 40-yard fumble return. Alim Godsey added a 10-yard touchdown run, and kicker Jack O'Connor booted a 30-yard field goal in the win. The Bucs will wrap up the season on Thanksgiving against Long Branch.
