Class A North

No. 6 Manalapan 5, Howell 1

Joe Ahn and Andrew Comito each scored a pair of goals and the Braves scored three times in the second half to pull away for a win over the Rebels. Rocky Garretson added a goal and an assist in the win.

No. 1 CBA 3, Middletown North 0

Juniors Aaron Robertson, Patrick Kollman and Tom Judge each scored a goal and the Colts blanked the Lions to remain atop the Class A North standings.

Marlboro 3, No. 8 Freehold 2

Junior Steven Karp one-timed a long free kick by junior Justin Goldstein out of the air for the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute and the Mustangs pulled out a win over the Colonials.

Karp also assisted the equalizer in the 50th minute by flicking a throw-in to the near left post, where junior Ryan LaRocca headed the ball off of Freehold goalkeeper Jesus Lopez and in.

The teams traded goals in the first half, with Freehold opening the scoring on a near-post header by junior Tommy Boyle on an Andy Rizo corner kick in the 18th minute.

Marlboro tied the game in the 33rd on a header by senior Andrew Toron on a pass into the box by junior Dan McGrath. Freehold struck back in the 39th to take the lead prior to halftime, with Jose Silva winning a clearance and beating goalkeeper James Weinberg one-on-one.

Mike Maltese scored in the 25th minute on an Andrew DiBella assist and Adrian Barajas tacked on an insurance tally on an assist from Nick Facendo in the 63rd to help lead the Patriots to a win over the Eagles.

No. 5 Rumson-Fair Haven 1, Monmouth 0

Sophomore Owen Greengrove chipped Monmouth goalkeeper Kevin Ross of a through-ball from junior Jack Balestro in the 59th minute and the Bulldogs held on to beat the Falcons for their ninth straight win while also snapping Monmouth's five-game winning streak.

Raritan 1, St. John Vianney 0

Nick Amodeo scored the winning goal in the 74th minute and the Rockets upended the Lancers. Amodeo gathered a throw-in by Mike Pruscino while going toward the goal and finished on the left side of the frame.

Class B North

No. 7 Wall 1, No. 10 Colts Neck 0

Senior Roshen Eapen scored off a pass from senior Reilly Barcas in the 35th minute and goalkeeper Nolan Cloney pitched his eighth shutout in nine games to help the Crimson Knights edge the Cougars.

No. 4 Ocean 4, Red Bank Catholic 0

Neptune 2, Red Bank 1

Senior Tyler Schembri and freshman Wilby Alfred each scoored a goal and the Scarlet Fliers edged the Bucs.
