Class A South

No. 2 Toms River South 3, Toms River East 2

John Timmes scored the tying and winning goals and the Indians (6-0, 5-0) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Raiders (2-4, 2-3) and remain unbeaten. Timmes scored the tying goal with a right-foot volley off a pass from Jordan Urbaczek and the left-footer again went to the right foot with a one-timed shot off a cross from Owen Lee for the winner.

Toms River East scored twice in the first 14 minutes to take a 2-0 lead. Alesio Rea headed in a corner by Chris Varga in the seventh minute and Rea then assisted a goal by Josh Sommerer, who scored on a 25-yard rip to the upper left in the 14th minute.

Jordan Urbaczek scored off a Ryan Shiffer pass to cut the Indians deficit in half in the 18th minute.

No. 3 Toms River North 2, Brick 0

Cendric Cook and Joey Hertger each scored a goal and the Mariners (6-1, 5-0) won their sixth straight by beating the Green Dragons (1-5, 0-5).

Lacey 1, No.10 Brick Memorial 1

George Garnter converted a penalty kick in the 69th minute to even the score at 1 and the Lions (4-3-1, 2-2-1) earned a draw with the Mustangs (4-2-1, 2-2-1). Jake DeGennaro scored the lone Brick Memorial goal off an assist from Bryan Malerba.

 

Class B Central

St. Rose 5, Keyport 1

Five St. Rose players scored a goal and the Purple Roses (5-2, 5-0) used four second-half goals to pull away from the Red Raiders (2-3, 2-3) to keep pace with Shore and set up a match against the Blue Devils for first place in the division on Saturday at the St. Rose sports complex.

Brendan Hueth, Craig Suchecki, Joe Forlenza, Matt O'Malley and Matt Frost each scored a goal in the St. Rose win. Joe Froncek scored the equalizer for Keyport in the 37th minute to send the Red Raiders to the half tied at 1 with St. Rose.

Point Beach 4, Mater Dei Prep 0

Cory Gross assisted first-half goals by Alex Ciorlian and Aris Papoutsakis and the Garnet Gulls (3-3, 3-2) went on to beat the Seraphs (0-5, 0-4) for their third straight win. Johan Rosa and John DeSalvo each scored a goal in the second half to pad the lead.

No. 4 Shore 7, Asbury Park 0

Seven different Shore players scored a goal and the Blue Devils (7-1, 5-0) coasted to a win over the Blue Bishops (3-4, 3-2) to remain unbeaten in Class B Central. Jake Friedland opened the scoring with a goal in the 12th minute off a Lukas Montesinos assist and Montesinos later added a goal in the 26th to give Shore a 5-0 lead.

Eric Bolsch, Dante Montesinos, J.T. Kessler and Danny Welsh each added a first-half goal for Shore and Jeremy Lang added a seventh goal in the second half.

 

Class B South

Central 7, Manchester 0

Blake Czajkowski and Doug Jensen each scored two goals and Roberto Pacheco and Francisco Tomayo each added a goal and an assist to help lead the Golden Eagles (5-1, 4-1) to a win over the Hawks (0-7-1, 0-4-1). Youssef Abdelaziz also scored a goal for Central.

Point Boro 2, Jackson Liberty 1

Quin Hornish scored the game-winning goal 57 seconds after Brandon Pirog scored the equalizer in the 45th minute for Jackson Liberty and the Panthers (5-2, 5-1) held on to beat the Lions (4-3, 4-1) for their fourth straight win.

Pirog one-timed a through-ball from Bryan Garry with his left foot from 12 yards out to tie the game at 1. The Panthers came right back to take the lead less than a minute later, with Ryan Remondelli sending a long ball ahead to Hornish, who ran onto it and finished to the far right corner of the net.

Point Boro took a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick by Kenny Fellows in the 26th minute after a push in the box on a fifty-fifty ball in the air. Pirog twice had an opportunity to tie the game, first drilling a direct kick on which Point Boro goalkeeper Gabe Pesante made a leaping save in the 60th and the second on a header that hit the crossbar after a cross fro Adam Haidi in the 68th.

Donovan Catholic 2, Barnegat 1

Connor Grant and Brant Reymann each scored in the final three minutes and the Griffins (4-2, 3-2) rallied for a thrilling win over the Bengals (1-6, 1-4).

Grant scored off a rebound on a direct kick by Dom DiSalvo to tie the game with 2:25 left and Reymann won it when he volleyed a Bryce Grant corner kick into the goal with his left foot with 37 seconds left.

Kyle Heidel scored in the 59th minute to give Barnegat a 1-0 lead.
