Class A Central

Holmdel 1, Raritan 1

Senior Chris Medina scored in the 72nd minute to pull Raritan even at 1 and Holmdel goalkeeper Tyler Marchiano saved three breakaway opportunities in overtime as the Rockets (1-2-1, 0-1-1) and Hornets (1-1-2, 0-1-2) battled to a draw.

Sophomore Louis DiLaurenzio took took the ball on the flank and crossed it to the far side of the six-yard box to sophomore Tom Savin. Savin volleyed the ball back to the other side of the frame, where Medina finished for the equalizer.

Holmdel took a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute on a goal by junior Leo Nobrega, who scored after Hunter Chapman's corner kick hit off of the crossbar.

Matawan 4, Monmouth 1

Junior Jacob Labinger and Anthony Quattrocchi each scored first-half goals and the Huskies (3-0, 2-0) erased an early 1-0 deficit with four straight goals to beat the Falcons (2-3, 1-2) and remain unbeaten.

Quattrocchi assisted a goal by senior Bronson Dhume in the 63rd minute and sophomore Griffin Heyward capped the scoring in the 74th.

Sean O'Brien scored 16:24 into the game to give Monmouth a 1-0 lead.

 

Class A South

Toms River South 2, Southern 0

Senior Cameron Geerinck and junior Dylan Parks each scored a first-half goal and the Indians (2-1, 2-0) beat the Rams (0-3, 0-2) for their second straight win. Junior Dom Pizzi earned the shutout in goal.

Lacey 2, Toms River East 0

Sophomore Luke Moynihan sent a corner kick off a Toms River East defender and in for a first-half goal and senior Robert Biele converted a penalty kick in the second half to help lead the Lions (2-1, 1-1) to a win over the Raiders (0-1-2, 0-1-1). Senior Bobby Considine earned the shutout in goal.

 

Class B North

No. 8 Wall 3, Red Bank 0

Sophomore Jeremy Thompson scored a first-half goal and assisted another one by junior Ryan Gordon as the Crimson Knights (3-0, 2-0) pulled away to beat the Bucs (1-2, 1-1).

Senior Jordan Bloom assisted Thompson's goal in the 14th minute before Gordan scored off Thompson's feed in the 33rd. Junior Dan Frisch-Harmon capped the scoring with a goal in the 65th minute off a pass from senior Japheth Segura.

 

Class B Central

Asbury Park 2, Keyport 1

Sophomores Davensky Joinvilmar and Widmaier Beaubrun each scored a goal and assisted the other as the Blue Bishops (1-2, 1-1) picked up their first win of the season by edging the Red Raiders (0-1, 0-1).

Junior Brendan O'Brien gave Keyport a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 19th minute before Beaubrun answered in the 31st and Joinvilamar scored the winning goal two minutes later.

Ranney 4, Mater Dei Prep 0

Junior Shane Keenan scored two goals and the Panthers (3-0, 2-0) shut out the Seraphs (0-2, 0-2) to secure the first 3-0 start in program history. Freshman AO Odunlami and junior Ian Dobrzynski each added a goal in the win, while Noah Ayers picked up the shutout in goal.

Point Beach 2, St. Rose 0

Junior Connor Prima scored off an assist by senior Joe Laduca in the 20th minute and freshman Ki Costa tacked on an insurace goal in the 63rd to give the Garnet Gulls (1-3, 1-1) a win over the Purple Roses (1-2, 1-1), their first victory of the season.

No. 5 Shore 7, Henry Hudson 0

Senior J.T. Kessler recorded a hat trick for the second straight game and the Blue Devils (3-0, 2-0) rolled to a win over the Admirals (0-1, 0-1). Kessler scored all three of his goals in the first 29 minutes and has scored eight goals in Shore's first three games to raise his career total to 64.

Senior Brett Norman scored off a pass from Kessler in the first half and assisted the last two of Kessler's goals. Junior Dante Montesinos added two goals in the first five minutes in the second half and freshman Ryan Bongarzone added a goal and an assist after halftime.

Henry Hudson junior goalkeeper Brendan Carlstrom made 27 saves.

 

Class B South

Pinelands 6, Manchester 2

Denilson Salgado scored two goals and an assist and Matt O'Connell added a goal and two assists as the Wildcats (2-1, 2-0) topped the Hawks (0-3, 0-2).

Jordan Finkle gave Manchester a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute before Micah English answered 40 second later with the equalizer. Salgado then assisted a goal by Austin Hart in the 22nd minute to break the tie and and scored the first of his two second-half goals in the 32nd minute on an assist by O'Connell.

O'Connell assisted a goal by Jordan Humphreys with a little more than a minute to play in the half and Salgado sent the Wildcats to the half with a 5-1 lead by scoring his second goal of the game 20 seconds before halftime.

O'Connell made it six straight Pinelands goals in the 51st minute and sophomore Milan Kleva capped the scoring with a penalty kick in the 60th minute.

Central 2, No. 10 Point Boro 1

Senior Jake Dufner and junior Griffin Bacon each scored a goal and the Golden Eagles (1-1-1, 1-1-0) updended the defending Class B South champion Panthers (2-1, 1-1).
