Russell Romano scored in the 75th minute and the Colts blanked the Rebels to pick up an A North win.

No. 7 Colts Neck 2, Middletown South 0

Devin Gavrushenko ripped a shot off a Middletown South defender and into the net for the deciding goal in the 28th minute and Jason Tonelli added a goal in the 73rd as the Cougars topped the Eagles.

Goalkeeper Sean O'Neill made 12 saves, including one on a penalty kick, to keep Middletown South in the game.

Middletown North 2, No. 6 Freehold Twp. 1

Ramziz Habiby scored in the 75th minute to break a 1-1 tie and the Lions beat the Patriots for a key division win. Georges Fiori scored the tying goal in the 32nd minute after Nick Facendo gave Freehold Township the lead with a goal in the seventh minute.

No. 2 Manalapan 3, Marlboro 2 (OT)

Chris Colen scored in the 93rd minute and the Braves won their third straight game in overtime by beating the Mustangs. Ryan Hammer scored in the 75th minute to tie the game at two, sending the match into overtime. Hammer also assisted Colen's game-winner.

Marlboro had taken the lead just a minute earlier on a go-ahead goal on a goal by Kyle Caruso. The Mustangs tied it when Bryan DaSilva scored in the 29th, which came a minute after Matt Dizenhaus gave Manalapan a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 28th.

 

Class A Central

St. John Vianney 3, Manasquan 0

No. 4 Holmdel 4, Monmouth 0

Jason Kyriacou, Gino D'Agostino and Rohan Ghandi each had a goal and an assist and the Hornets rolled to a win over the Falcons. Jack Flanagan accounted for the other Holmdel goal.

No. 5 Rumson-Fair Haven 2, Red Bank Catholic 0

The Bulldogs scored twice in the first eight minutes of the game and that was enough offense for Rumson to get by the rival Caseys in A Central. Eamon Kitson opened the scoring in the sixth minute off a set-up from Jamie Martin and Kieran Doherty scored two minutes later off a Matt Dell assist to make it 2-0.

 

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 2, Brick Memorial 0

Toms River South 2, No. 3 Toms River North 1

Junior Villamizar scored with 1:20 left in regulation and the Indians handed the Mariners their first loss to a Shore Conference team this season. Toms River South also overcame a red card i the 70th minute, which forced the Indians to play a man down for the final 10 minutes.

Jordan Urbaczek scored the game-tying goal in the 67th minute. Lee Scheck opened the scoring with a goal in the 39th to put Toms River North up 1-0 at halftime.

 

Class B North

Wall 1, Long Branch 0

Chris Barcas scored four minutes into the game and the Crimson Knights beat the Green Wave to and end its streak of four straight ties.

Red Bank 2, No. 1 Ocean 0

Sam MacPherson set up a goal by Justin Gilson and scored one of his own off a pass from Dylan Fogerty to help the Bucs hand the Spartans their first loss of the season.

Matawan 1, Neptune 0

Berend Malin scored off a pass from Alex Cella and the Huskies edged the Scarlet Fliers for their second straight win.
