Class A North

No. 7 Howell 1, No. 2 CBA 0

Mike Anello scored off a feed from Kyle Clark midway through the second half and the Rebels (8-2, 3-2) held on to knock off the Colts (9-2, 4-1), marking CBA's first loss to a Shore Conference opponent this season. The win is also the first for Howell over CBA since Sept. 12, 2012.

Shane McBride turned in a standout performance in goal, saving nine shots to record his fourth shutout of the season.

No. 10 Manalapan 3, Freehold Boro 1

Mike Kuver and Justin Goldberg both scored in the first 12 minutes and Gavin Lebright added an insurance goal in the 65th as the Braves (4-3-2, 3-1-1) buried the Colonials (6-5, 1-4) to climb back above .500.

LeBright also set up Kuver for the first goal of the game, which came in the sixth minute. Goldberg scored off a throw-in less than six minutes later and LeBright made it 3-0 when he finished off a touch from Ryan Caruso.

Abel Herrera buried a shot to the far left post in the 73rd to cut Manalapan's lead to two goals.

Middletown South 2, No. 5 Freehold Twp. 0

Danny Minze opened the scoring with a goal in the first half and Matt Glynn added an insurance goal by heading in a corner kick from Chase Giunta to lift the Eagles (6-5, 2-3) to a win over the Patriots (6-2-1, 3-2-0), their fifth straight since a 1-5 start to the season.

Marlboro 4, No. 8 Long Branch 1

Brandon Grine set up the go-ahead goal by Max Shushkovsky in the second half and added a goal and an assist after halftime to lead the Mustangs (4-4-1, 2-3-0) to a win over the Green Wave (5-5-1, 1-3-1), as well as to the .500 mark.

Eric Tsirkin headed in a service from Noah Rosen to tie the game at 1-1 and Grine found Shushkovsky for the winning goal. Grine then drilled a 22-yard direct kick to make the score 3-1 and set up Oscar Ozbay for the final score.

Patrick O'Dwyer gave Long Branch an early 1-0 lead off a pass from Stiviny Silva.

 

Class A Central

Manasquan 2, Raritan 0

Rich Maloney and Tommy Johnson each scored within a six-minute stretch of the second half and the Warriors (6-4, 4-1) pulled out a win over the Rockets (4-5, 3-2). Maloney scored off a service by Sam Del Guercio and Johnson's goal was a 20-yard strike off a throw-in by Matt Drake.

Shore 5, Red Bank Catholic 1

Ryan Bongarzone scored two goals and the Blue Devils (3-8, 1-3) rolled to a road win over the Caseys (4-5, 1-3). Conor Creighton, Jack Walker and Will LaBruno each added a goal and Matt Klemser added two assists. Senior Alex Nichols scored the lone RBC goal.

Monmouth 2, Rumson-Fair Haven 1

Freshman Ethan Wallace scored the game-winner off a pass from Hoover Cano and the Falcons (7-3-1, 2-2-0) denied the Bulldogs (0-8, 0-4) their first win of the season. Brian Leonard scored off a pass from Mathias Quesada to give Monmouth a 1-0 lead before Rumson tied it up on a goal by Mason Creekmore.

 

Class B North

Neptune 6, Middletown North 3

Wilby Alfred scored a career-high six goals and the Scarlet Fliers (7-3-1, 3-2-0) survived a scoring spree against the Lions (2-8, 0-4). Alfred leads the Shore Conference in goals with 18, which matches his total from the 2017 season. Mickenna Church assisted three goals for Neptune.

Aidan Cardella scored two of the Middletown North goals with the other coming on an own goal.

St. John Vianney 1, No. 6 Wall 0

Chris Ward collected a through ball from Johnny Troiano and finished the game's lone goal in the 50th minute to lift the Lancers (5-6, 2-3) to a win over the Crimson Knights (9-2, 4-1), snapping Wall's nine-game winning streak.

Colts Neck 1, Red Bank 0

Rudy Gonzales settled a pass over the top from Ethan Kilmnick and buried the game's lone goal in the 32nd minute to deliver the Cougars (3-5, 3-2) a win over the Bucs (3-6, 1-3).

No. 4 Ocean 3, Matawan 0

Rob Lopes, Luke Yates and Sean Reid each scored a goal and the Spartans (9-2, 5-0) blanked the Huskies (3-6, 1-4) to remain unbeaten in Class B North play. Santieno Harding and James Schutz each collected an assist in the win.

 

Class B Central

Keyport 3, Mater Dei Prep 3

Six different players scored a goal and the winless Red Raiders (0-6-1, 0-3-1) and Seraphs (0-7-1, 0-4-1) battled to a draw. Jared Sheridan, Breandian Greene and Kevin Hernandez scored the Keyport goals and A.J. Bruney, Matt Lister and Aidan Balderose accounted for the Mater Dei goals.
