Class A South

No. 7 Jackson Memorial 2, Brick 0

Garrett Muzikowski scored two goals, the first on a penalty kick, and the Jaguars (7-1-1, 4-1-1) blanked the Green Dragons (0-6-1, 0-5-1) to keep pace in the Class A South race.

No. 10 Lacey 1, Southern 1

The Lions (4-2-2, 3-2-2) and Rams (4-5-2, 1-4-2) played into the 94th minute before darkness forced the officials to call the game prior to the end of the second overtime period.

Brick Memorial 3, Toms River South 0

Alex Fernandez one-timed a free kick by Kevin Simek out of the air to open the scoring in the 14th minute and the Mustangs (4-4-0, 3-3-0) tacked on two more for good measure in a road win over the Indians (3-3-1, 3-3-0). Kevin Duffy scored in the 62nd minute and Bryan Malerba tacked on a goal in the 73rd to cap the scoring.

Toms River East 2, No. 4 Toms River North 2

A handball near the goal with 10 seconds left in regulation set up a game-tying penalty kick by Toms River East senior Lorenzo Scala and the Raiders (3-3-1, 3-3-1) and Mariners (4-1-3, 4-0-3) played to a draw in a Class A South rivalry match.

Toms River North took a 2-1 lead on a goal by Tyler Foss off a Mike Karpinsky throw-in in the 66th minute. Raiders sophomore Andrea Verace pulled Toms River East even in the 49th minute with a 35-yard shot that bent into the upper-right corner of the netting. Nick Sica opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a header directly off a Sal Turelli corner kick.

 

Class B Central

Mater Dei Prep 2, Ranney 1

Sophomore Matheus Giaculi scored his first varsity goal on a direct kick in the 21st minute and Danny Poracky added the game-winner in the 37th as the Seraphs (2-8-0, 2-4-0) edged the Panthers (1-6-0, 1-5-0).

Mo Chater scored Ranney's lone goal, which tied the game at 1 in the 27th minute.

Shore 5, Point Beach 1

Freshman Dante Montesinos recorded his second hat trick of the season and sophomore J.T. Kessler added two goals to lead the Blue Devils (7-3-0, 5-1-0) to a win over the Garnet Gulls (5-2-0, 4-2-0). All six of the goals in the game came in the second half.

Asbury Park 2, St. Rose 1

Jose Cesaire scored his ninth and 10th goals of the season and the Blue Bishops (5-1-0, 5-1-0) topped the Purple Roses (4-5-1, 4-2-0) for their fifth straight win. Cesaire has scored 10 of Asbury Park's 16 goals so far this season.

 

Class B South

Barnegat 4, Pinelands 1

Austin Reynolds ignited a three-goal first half with a goal in the 13th minute and the Bengals (4-5-0, 3-4-0) rolled to a win over the Wildcats (1-6-0, 1-5-0). Kyle Heidel and Stewart Villavincencio each scored before the half and Nick Horvath tacked on a fourth Barnegat goal off a set-up by Heidel in the 72nd minute.

Central 6, Manchester 0

Senior Luke Aceto scored two goals and senior Kyle Kaiser added a goal and three assists to lead the Golden Eagles (6-1-0, 6-1-0) to an easy win over the Hawks (2-8-0, 1-6-0). Senior Wyatt Holm, freshman Nate Wiley and junior Blake Czajkowski each added a goal for Central.

Point Boro 4, Lakewood 2

Nick DeCurtis scored the game-winning goal in the 74th minute and Gunnar Schnappauf added an insurance goal two minutes later as the Panthers (7-2-0, 7-0-0) beat the Piners (1-7-0, 1-6-0) to remain unbeaten in B South after giving up a two-goal lead in the second half.

Yosimar Arroyo scored Lakewood's first goal in the 47th minute and Tomas Uribe tied the game at 2 in the 72nd. Dan Hunt set up a goal by Quin Hornish in the 25th minute and scored a goal in the 31st to give Point Boro a 2-0 lead at halftime.
