No. 1 Manalapan 4, Middletown South 0

Ryan Hammer scored his second hat trick of the season and the Braves rolled to a win over the Eagles to remain unbeaten. Hammer has scored 11 goal in five games so far this season.

 

Class A South

No. 3 Toms River South 1, Jackson Memorial 0

Jordan Urbaczek scored off a pass from Ryan Shiffer off of a short corner and the Indians held on to beat the Jaguars and remain unbeaten. Since allowing a goal to Holmdel 14 minutes into its season-opener, Toms River South has not allowed a goal, a scoreless streak of more than 306 minutes.

No. 7 Toms River North 1, Toms River East 0

Nick Hund's first-half goal was the only scoring and it was all the Mariners needed to top the Raiders for their fourth straight win.

No. 6 Brick Memorial 3, Brick 0

Alejandro Cisneros, Jake DeGennaro and Bryan Malerba scored a goal each and the Mustangs bounced back from their first loss of the season by shutting out the crosstown rival Green Dragons.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 4, Keyport 1

Alex Ciorlian scored twice in the final 65 minutes to break a 1-1 tie and deliver the Garnet Gulls a win over the Red Raiders. Christian Maness gave Point Beach an early 1-0 lead and Joe DeLuca capped the scoring in the 77th minute.

Joe Froncek scored the equalizer in the 55th minute, his fourth goal in the first three Keyport games.

St. Rose 5, Ranney 0

Joe Forlenza recorded a hat trick to go with an assist and the Purple Roses stormed past the Panthers. Brendan Hueth and Matt Hunt each added a goal in the win.

Shore 5, Mater Dei Prep 0

Jake Friedland scored two goals off passes from Lukas Montesinos and the Blue Devils cruised to a win over the Seraphs. J.T. Kessler, Marcelo Armondes and Lucas Bongarzone each scored a goal for Shore, which scored all five goals in the first 26 minutes of the game.

Asbury Park 4, Henry Hudson 3

Carl Cazeau and freshman Davensky Joinvilmar each scored two goals and the Blue Bishops rallied from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Admirals. Cazeau scored two goals a minute apart from one another to tie the game at 3 and Joinvilmar scored the winner in the 36th minute.

Henry Hudson scored three goals in the first 12:54, including a goal by David Fitzgerald 43 seconds into the match.

 

Class B South

Lakewood at Manchester, 3:45 p.m.

Jackson Liberty 4, Barnegat 0

Adam Haidi scored two goal and an assist and Brandon Pirog added a goal and an assist as the Lions blanked the Bengals to remain unbeaten in Class B South. Alex Iorio opened the scoring  in the 20th minute off a pass from Pirog and the Lions took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Pirog scored five minutes into the second half off a pass from Haidi, who scored the Lions' final two goals. Jeremy DeBoer and Bryan Garry each assisted one of Haidi's goals.

Nick Siragusa earned the shutout in goal by saving eight shots.

Donovan Catholic 2, No. 10 Central 1

Alec Mapoy's penalty kick in the 37th minute broke a 1-1 tie and proved to be the difference as the Griffins became the first team to beat and also score on the Golden Eagles this year.

Connor Grant scored in the 14th minute off passes from Kevin Dillon and Bryce Grant to give Donovan Catholic a 1-0 lead before Blake Czajkowski evened the game with a goal in the 28th off a set-up by Youssef Abdelaziz.
