Class A North

No. 1 CBA 5, Freehold Boro 0

Junior Patrick Kollman scored tallied his first career hat trick and the Colts (10-2, 9-1) beat the Colonials (4-7-1, 2-7-1) on a day in which the school honored head coach Dan Keane before the game. Keane, in his 38th season as Colts coach, is retiring from CBA after the school year.

Senior Nick Meyer scored the second goal with two minues of Kollman'sfirst goal to open the scoring and after Kollman scored two more goals, sophomore Declan McStravick capped the scoring with his first varsity goal.

Middletown South 1, No. 5 Manalapan 1

Senior Mike McNicholas scored off a pass from Rocky Garretson in the 77th minute to save Manalapan from an upset as the Braves (7-2-1, 7-2-1) and Eagles (1-8-1, 1-7-1) battled to a draw .

Mike Britt scored 32 minutes into the game to give Middletown South the lead. After beginning the season 0-8, the Eagles have defeated Freehold Boro and tied Manalapan in their last two matches.

No. 3 Freehold Twp. 3, Middletown North 1

Chris Anello and Chris Hoskins each had a goal and an assist and the Patriots (6-2-2, 6-2-1) scored three times over the final 55 minutes to erase an early deficit and beat the Lions (4-6, 4-6).

Anello tied the game with a goal off a flick on from Hoskins in the 25th minute and Hoskins have Freehold Township the lead in the 49th off a headball assist from Adrian Barajas.

Mark Fasano capped the scoring on an assist from Anello. Middletown North grabbed an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Justin McKenna in the third minute off a feed from Ryan Harmon.

No. 9 Marlboro 2, Howell 1

Steven Karp headed home the game-winning goal in the 60th minute off a pass from Varazdat Topuzyan and the Mustangs (5-4-1, 4-4-1) edged the Rebels (3-7-1, 3-7-1). Brian Dates scored the first Marlboro goal in the third minute.

 

Class A Central

Holmdel 4, No. 4 Rumson-Fair Haven 1

Justin McStay and Sean Gross each scored a goal and an assist and the Hornets (3-4-5, 2-4-4) pulled away to hand the Bulldogs (11-1, 9-1) their first loss of the season after 11 straight wins.

Leo Nobrega and Dante Marino each added a goal and Joe Arena added an assist for Holmdel.

Manasquan 4, Monmouth 1

Aaron Kocienski and Tolga Guven each scored in the first half and Brendan Kelly and Dan Del Guercio iced the game with second-half goals as the Warriors (7-5-1, 5-3-1) rolled to a win over the Falcons (7-7, 4-5).

Del Guercio also assisted Kocienski's game to open the scoring, while Ryan Flanagan, Beau Bradley and Mike Lyons each added an assists.

Fabian Burgos scored the lone Monmouth goal to cut the deficit to 2-1 with 17 minutes left.

St. John Vianney 3, Matawan 2

Zach Richards scored the golden goal with 10 seconds left in the first overtime period and the Lancers (5-7, 4-6) pulled out a win over the Huskies (4-4-3, 2-4-3).

John Vail scored two goals during a 10-minute stretch of the second half to help Matawan erase a 2-0 deficit. St. John Vianney took the lead on goals by John Caracappa in the 51st and Cameron Richards in the 56th.

 

Class B North

No. 8 Colts Neck 2, Neptune 0

Senior Rob Berdel scored on a penalty kick in the 55th minute and forced an own goal seven minutes later as the Cougars (7-3-1, 5-3-0) beat the Scarlet Fliers (7-7, 3-6) in the first Colts Neck game of the season decided by more than one goal.

No. 6 Wall 1, Long Branch 0

Reilly Barcas headed in a corner kick by Japheth Segura with 4:37 left in the game and the Crimson Knights (9-0-1, 7-0-1) beat the Green Wave (5-5-1, 3-3-1) to remain unbeaten. In 10 games, Wall has allowed only one goal, an own goal by Long Branch in the first meeting between the division rivals.

Red Bank 5, Red Bank Catholic 1

Jacob Curtis scored two goals and Luis Lopez added a goal and an assist to help lead the Bucs (3-7-1, 2-6-1) to a win over the Caseys (0-11-1, 0-8-1). Theo Cheevers and Chris Fuentes each scored a goal for Red Bank, while Vince Renna scored the lone Red Bank Catholic goal.
