No. 2 CBA 4, No. 10 Manalapan 0

Jack Gill scored the lone goal of the first half off a pass from Joe Lozowski and Michael Casper, Jack Longo and Patrick Doherty each scored their first varsity goal in the second half to pace the Colts (10-2, 5-1) to a win over the Braves (4-4-2, 3-2-1), which clinched at least a share of the Class A North championship.

Marlboro 0, Freehold Boro 0

No. 7 Howell 4, Middletown South 1

Mike Anello assisted a goal by Kyle Clark, then scored two of his own to lead the Rebels (9-2, 4-2) past the Eagles (6-6, 2-4) for their sixth straight win while ending a five-game winning streak by Middletown South.

Clark gave Howell a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute and Anello unleashed a 23-yard strike to the far right corner of the goal for a 2-0 Howell lead in the 58th minute. The junior striker scored his second goal from 14 yards out in the 64th and Dylan Dougher capped the scoring in the 74th off a feed from Eric Brew.

Alex Sigua scored off a set-up by Jonathan Santos in the 71st to get Middletown South on the board.

No. 5 Freehold Twp. 3, No. 8 Long Branch 1

Jack Trainor scored the equalizer off a pass from Zach Orrico and Cristian Corcione scored the winner in the third minute of the second half off a punt by Evan Nastarowicz to help the Patriots (7-2-1, 4-2-0) rally to beat the Green Wave (5-6-1, 1-4-1).

Freehold Township added an own goal for insurance against Long Branch, which took an early lead on a goal by Patrick O'Dywer 10 minutes into the match.

 

Class A Central

Manasquan 1, Monmouth 0 (OT)

Sophomore Tommy Johnson scored the golden goal in the eighth minute of overtime and the Warriors (7-4, 5-1) edged the Falcons (7-4-1, 2-3-0) to keep their slim hopes of a division title alive. Frank Manno knocked down a cross from Drew Greenblatt, which found Johnson making a fortuitous run behind the defense.

In order to win a share of the Class A Central championship, Manasquan will need Holmdel to lose to either Red Bank Catholic later on Thursday or to Rumson-Fair Haven on Wednesday.

No. 1 Holmdel 5, Red Bank Catholic 0

Justin Orosz opened the scoring on senior night and CBA transfer Henry Kiechlen scored in his Holmdel debut to help the Hornets (10-0, 5-0) blank the Caseys (4-6, 1-4) and win at least a share of the Class A Central championship.

Seniors Ryan Ferguson, Jack Russo and Mark McStay also scored a goal apiece, while McStay, junior Mark Walier, junior Jack Giamanco and senior Peter Vassilakos each pitched in an assist.

Jack Murray earned his seventh shutout in goal.

Shore 3, Rumson-Fair Haven 2

Taylor Sousa scored the game-winning goal in the 71st minute and the Blue Devils (4-8, 2-3) held off a comeback effort by the Bulldogs (0-9, 0-5) to pick up the win.

Jaoa Victor Fonte Boa staked Shore to a 1-0 lead and Matt Klemser gave the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead off a pass from Mike Adams.

 

Class B North

Neptune 4, Red Bank 1

Senior Wilby Alfred reached the 20-goal mark for the season with two more goals and also assisted one to lead the Scarlet Fliers (8-3-1, 4-2-0) to a win over the Bucs (3-7, 1-4).

Mickenna Church and Marvin Garcia also scored a goal and an assist each and goalkeeper Seamus McAnee added an assist.

Middletown North 3, Matawan 1

Brendan McCartney and Aidan Cardella each scored in the first half and Matt Dulin added an insurance goal in the second half help the Lions (3-8, 1-4) beat the Huskies (3-7, 1-5) and snap a eight-game losing streak.

Marcelo Colonna scored the lone Matawan goal, which came in the first half.

No. 3 Ocean 4, St. John Vianney 2

The Spartans (10-2, 6-0) converted three of their four goals off set pieces and coasted to a win over the Lancers (5-7, 2-4) to clinch no worse than a share of the Class B North championship.

Zach Sintic assisted a goal by Griffin Adolf that made the score 2-0 and later capped the scoring by burying a free kick.

Leo Montesinos opened the scoring my emerging from a scrum following a free kick and finishing. Santieno Harding took care of the third Ocean goal.

Class B Central

Keyport 3, Henry Hudson 1

Breandian Greene, Kevin Hernandez and George Mitchell each scored a goal and the Red Raiders (1-6-1, 1-3-1) beat the Admirals (3-7, 1-4) for their first win of the season. Jack Sanders scored the Henry Hudson goal.

St. Rose 2, Mater Dei Prep 1 (OT)

Evan Walters scored the golden goal off a pass from Christian Riozzi-Bodine in the second overtime period and the Purple Roses (4-6-2, 2-2-0) pulled out a win over the Seraphs (0-8-1, 0-5-1). Riozzi-Bodine also scored St. Rose's first goal five minutes into the match.

Mater Dei tied the game on a penalty kick by A.J. Bruney late in the first half.
