Junior Joe Kiernan scored two goals and Dayton Chapman added another as the Rams (4-1, 3-1) blanked the Green Dragons (1-4, 1-3) for their fourth straight win.

Toms River East 1, Brick Memorial 1

Toms River East junior Santino Celebre and Brick Memorial junior Erik Fatovic traded goals and the Raiders (0-3-1, 0-3-1) and Mustangs (0-4-1, 0-3-1) played to a stalemate in Class A South.

 

Class B South

Point Boro 4, Lakewood 2

Senior Matt Kimak scored two goals and assisted another to lead the Panthers (3-1, 3-1) to a win over the Piners (0-5, 0-4). Kimak found senior Chris Bragen for the game's first goal and later scored off a pass from Bragen to cap the Point Boro scoring.

Senior Mason Remondelli set up Kimak's first goal and also assisted a goal by senior Ian Knapp.

Sophomore Giovanni Hernandez and freshman Nathanael Wharlton scored the two Lakewood goals.

 

Non-Division

No. 7 Colts Neck 3, Red Bank 0

Senior Christian Saavedra set up senior Michael Martinho for the go-ahead goal in the 55th minute, then tacked on an insurance goal three minutes later to help the Cougars (3-1) come alive late and beat the Bucs (0-3).

Senior Louis Reale added a goal in the 68th minute off a feed from sophomore Ethan Kilmnick.

No. 8 Ocean 4, Freehold Boro 1

Senior Tom Amato scored a goal in each half and senior Ian Dwyer added two assists in the second half to help the Spartans (4-0) roll to a win over the Colonials (2-3). Sophomores Erick Vasquez and Santieno Harding each added a goal for Ocean.

Senior Nestor Romero scored for Freehold Boro in the 76th minute to break up the shutout.

No. 10 Freehold Twp. 3, No. 6 Wall 0

Senior Kyle Trainor opened the scoring with an upper-90 finish and junior Kevin Finn tacked on two goals in the second half as the Patriots (3-1) blanked the Crimson Knights (1-3-1). The shutout was the second straight for senior goalkeeper Josh Nastarowicz

Manalapan 2, No. 4 Middletown North 2

Senior Rocky Garretson and senior Ethan Sholom scored a minute apart in the 68th and 69th minutes and the Braves (1-2-1) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to earn a draw with the unbeaten Lions (3-0-1).

Middletown North benefited from an own goal that opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and senior Jordan Stratton tacked on a goal before the half.

No. 3 Marlboro 4, Middletown South 1

Three Marlboro players scored in the second half and the Mustangs (3-1) broke open a 1-1 game at the half to take down the Eagles (2-2-1).

Senior P.J. Ringel scored the go-ahead goal and senior Brett Easton assisted a goal by senior Jared Markowitz that capped the scoring. Easton opened the scoring in the first half with a goal off a Steven Karp pass.

Junior Brian Dates assisted Ringel's goal and another goal by junior Zach Scarpa that extended the Marlboro lead to 3-1.

Junior Brendan Magner pulled Middletown South even in the first half with a goal off a feed from junior Mike Zito.

Matawan 3, Manasquan 0

Seniors Jacob Labinger, John Vail and Liam Nappi all scored a goal and the Huskies (4-1) won their fourth straight by blanking the Warriors (2-2).

Raritan 5, Monmouth 2

Raritan answered an early Monmouth goal with three unanswered goals to end the first half and the Rockets (4-0-1) held off the Falcons (0-5) to remain unbeaten.

Senior Peter Amato played junior Tom Savin through for the tying goal in the 11th minute, then scored one of his own from the top of the 18-yard box in the 38th that stretched Raritan's lead to 3-1.

Sophomore Marco Vasta scored Raritan's second goal off an assist by Anthony Sparacino and then assisted Amato's goal right before the half.

Sophomore Jake Fortune made it four consecutive Raritan goals with a penalty kick in the 50th minute and junior Nick Benoit capped the scoring in the 68th minute with a 20-yard strike.

Junior Joel Burgos assisted Monmouth's first goal by Adler Gustave in the sixth minute and later scored to cut the Raritan lead to 4-2 in the 60th.

St. John Vianney 2, Red Bank Catholic 1

Senior Kyle Tuschmann and junior Lucas Aquino each scored a goal and the Lancers (2-3) got by the Caseys (0-4).

St. Rose 3, No. 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 1

Senior Brendan Hueth scored two goals and assisted a goal by senior Chris Gowen to lead the Purple Roses (4-1) to a road win over the Bulldogs (1-2). Gowen also assisted one of Hueth's goals.

Senior Sam Sapnar scored the Rumson goal off a set-up by senior Nick Calabrese.

No. 5 Shore 3, Long Branch 1

Senior Dante Montesinos, sophomore Ryan Bongarzone and senior Stevie Johnson all struck for first-half goals and the Blue Devils (2-0-3) rolled to a win over the Green Wave (1-3), snapping a streak of three straight draws.

Junior Venancio Fernandes scored the lone Long Brach goal, his fifth goal of the season.

 

Non-Conference

No. 1 CBA 2, Don Bosco 1

Senior Matt Thorsheim scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute and the Colts (4-0) pulled out a win over the Ironmen (2-2). A cross from senior Matt Mawson bounced back out toward the top of the 18-yard box and Thorsheim punched a shot to the right corner of the goal from 12 yards out to break a 1-1 tie.

Thorsheim also set up a goal by Mawson in the 10th minute to give CBA a 1-0 lead. Don Bosco tied the game in the 65th on a 20-yard, outside-foot strike by Alan Tambi that bent into the right corner of the goal.
