Juan Carlos Merino scored to get the Green Wave on the board, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Little Tigers on the road. Princeton will take on No. 2 Monroe in the sectional semifinals.

Central Jersey Group III

(3) Northern Burlington 1, (6) Wall 0

(2) Toms River South 4, (7) Toms River East 2

Clem Slavick and Shane Kluxen each scored two goals and the Indians outlasted the rival Raiders to advance to the sectional semifinals against No. 3 Northern Burlington.

Slavick scored the tie-breaking goal in the 55th minute after Logan Romero scored to pull Toms River East even at 2-2 in the 53rd. Kluxen later added his second goal after scoring his first to tie the game at 1-1 in the first half. Slavick's first goal also gave Toms River South the lead in the first half.

Santino Celebre opened the scoring to give Toms River East a 1-0 lead in the first half.

(1) Ocean 2, (8) Freehold 0

Santieno Harding and Andrew Shaw each scored a goal and assisted another to pace the Spartans to a win over the Colonials, avenging an early-season, 5-1 loss to Freehold Boro. Ocean will host No. 5 Moorestown in the sectional semifinals on Tuesday.

 

Central Jersey Group II

(1) Holmdel 6, (9) A.L. Johnson 1

Six different players scored a goal for the Hornets, who rolled through the Crusaders to reach the sectional semifinals for the eighth straight season. Anthony Arena, Justin McStay, Nick Guga, Jack Russo, Mikey Neff and Matt Leon accounted for the goals, with McStay and Leon each adding an assist.

(13) Matawan 1, (12) Bernards 0

T.J. Boutote scored off a pass from Ryan Cavanagh for the game's lone goal and the Huskies knocked off the defending sectional champions on the road to advance to the semifinals Tuesday at top-seeded Holmdel.

(2) Monmouth 1, (7) Spotswood 0

Hoover Cano scored off a feed from Ryan Hoplock in the 63rd minute and the Falcons edged the Chargers to advance to the sectional semifinals against Rumson-Fair Haven on Tuesday.

(3) Rumson-Fair Haven 4, (11) Raritan 1

Jeremy Nives scored two more goals and Owen Greengrove (concussion) returned to action for the first time since Oct. 10 to record a goal and an assist to lead the Bulldogs to a win over the Rockets. In two rounds of the CJ II tournament, Nives has already scored five goals.

Pat Maisto added a goal for Rumson and Leo Maita tacked on an assist in the win. The Bulldogs will travel to play Monmouth in the sectional semifinals.

Anthony Sparacino scored the lone Raritan goal.

 

Central Jersey Group I

(5) Bound Brook 2, (13) Shore 1

Brandon DeNovaes scored on a 25-yard strike 30 seconds into the game, but that was the only goal the Blue Devils could muster in a loss to the Crusaders, who will play top-seeded Highland Park in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

(2) Asbury Park 9, (10) South Amboy 2

Davensky JoinVilmar scored three goals and assisted three others to lead the Blue Bishops past the Governors and back to the sectional semifinals Tuesday against No. 11 New Egypt.

Luckenson Joseph added a pair of goals, while Jesus Vazquez, Widmaier Beaubrun, Redondo Aime and Jovanie Frater each added a goal.

 

South Jersey Group IV

(8) Atlantic City 2, (1) Jackson Memorial 1

Joe Schlageter scored a goal in the second half, but the Vikings scored one more after halftime to upend the top-seeded Jaguars.

(3) Shawnee 2, (11) Southern 1

Nico Leonard scored off a pass from Joe Kiernan to give Southern the lead early in the second half, but the Renegades rallied to eliminate the Rams.

(2) Washington Twp. 2, (10) Howell 1

Brandon Downey scored in his final high school game but it wasn't enough to carry the Rebels past the three-time defending sectional champion Minutemen.

 

South Jersey Group III

(1) Ocean City 5, (9) Lacey 0

(3) Pinelands 5, (11) Winslow 4

Kieran Sundermann, Aniello Lubrano and Anthony Diaz each contributed a goal and an assist and the Wildcats outpaced the Eagles for an overtime win. Frank Aguilar added the other Pinelands goal.

 

South Jersey Group II

(4) Sterling 2, (5) Point Boro 1

Matt Moran scored a second-half equalizer but the second of two penalty kicks turned out to be the difference as the Panthers fell to the Silver Knights.

(3) West Deptford 3, (11) Barnegat 0

 

South Jersey Non-Public A

(1) CBA 3, (8) St. John Vianney 0

Nico Lubrano scored off a feed from Jack Gill in the first half and John Askin capped the scoring with a goal in the 74th minute off a Dan DeSanctis assist as the Colts blanked the Lancers to advance to the sectional semifinals Tuesday against No. 4 St. Joseph Metuchen. The other CBA goal came on an own goal in the 70th.

(3) St. Augustine 2, (6) Donovan Catholic 1

E.J. Lucas found the back of the net for Donovan Catholic, but the Griffins fell to the Hermits in a nail-biter.

(2) Bishop Eustace 5, (7) Red Bank Catholic 1

Blaise Tamburi scored in the first half, but it was not enough to help the Caseys keep up with the Crusaders.
