Central Jersey Group IV

(5) Monroe 3, (4) Jackson Memorial 1

Jordan Hodges scored off a pass from Garrett Muzikowski, but the Jaguars fell to the defending sectional champion Falcons for the second straight season. Monroe will host No. 8 South Brunswick in Tuesday's semifinal.

(3) Manalapan 2, (11) Hillsborough 1

Brian Dolan scored off pass from Ryan Hammer two minutes before halftime and Mason Chin scored the deciding goal in the 52nd off a set-up from Eric Wilkinson to lead the Braves to a win over the Raiders, who cut the lead to 2-1 in the 56th on a goal by Gareth Dennis.

Manalapan will travel to No. 2 Hunterdon Central in Tuesday's semifinal.

 

Central Jersey Class III

(6) Wall 2, (3) Ocean 1

Dave D'Agostino forced an own goal to open the scoring and Chris Barcas scored on a free kick as the Crimson Knights scored twice in the second half and held off the Spartans to advance to a home semifinal match against No. 7 Somerville on Tuesday.

D'Agostino sent a cross from the left corner to the front of the net and it hit off an Ocean defender and rolled into the right corner of the net in the 48th minute.

In the 54th, Zach Hetzel earned Wall a direct kick from just outside the 18-yard box when he drew a yellow card on Ocean goalkeeper Chris Seager. He also forced Seager off the field and without its starting keeper on the field, Barcas buried a shot into the right corner of the net for a 2-0 lead.

Wadneson Alexis scored in the 66th minute off a long ball from Justin Silverberg to cut the Spartans deficit in half and Ocean put pressure on the Wall goal over the final 14 minutes, but Wall escaped with the road victory.

Central Jersey Group II

(1) Holmdel 2, (8) Raritan 0

Hunter Chapman scored his first varsity goal to give Holmdel a lead in the 24th and Rohan Ghandi added a late goal to help the Hornets beat the Rockets and advance to a home semifinal match against No. 4 Delran on Tuesday.

Raritan goalkeeper Alex Pruckowski saved a penalty kick by Holmdel's Eric D'Aleo in the 64th to keep the Raritan deficit at 1-0.

Holmdel lost junior center midfielder Menos Hiras to a head injury in the first half, one that will likely keep him out for the remainder of the season, according to Holmdel coach John Nacarlo.

(4) Delran 3, (5) Point Boro 2

Evan McHugh scored two first-half goals to give the Panthers a 2-1 halftime lead, but Delran scored twice in the second half to rally for a win over Point Boro.

Panthers senior center midfielder and leading scorer Dan Hunt sustained a concussion with the Panthers leading 2-1 and did not return, according to Point Boro coach Pete Casalino.

(2) Rumson-Fair Haven 4, (10) Rahway 0

Four different Bulldogs scored in the second half and Rumson-Fair Haven coasted by the Indians and into a home semifinal match with No. 3 Cinnaminson on Tuesday.

Matt Dell, Eamon Kitson, Harry Gassert and Jamie Martin all scored after the break and senior Kieran Doherty added two assists for Rumson.

 

Central Jersey Group I

(1) New Egypt 7, (9) Asbury Park 0

(13) Bound Brook 2, (5) Shore 1

Freshman Dante Montesinos scored his third goal in two games, but Jesse Morales scored the game-winner in the 63rd minute to lead the Crusaders past the Blue Devils. Bound Brook will play top-seeded New Egypt in Tuesday's semifinals.

 

South Jersey Group IV

(13) Shawnee 2, (12) Toms River East 1

Lorenzo Scala gave Toms River East an early lead, but the Renegades rallied to top the Raiders and advance to a semifinal showdown at top-seeded and undefeated Washington Township.

 

South Jersey Group III

(3) Timber Creek 2, (6) Central 1

Blake Czajkowski scored off a pass from Doug Jensen to stake the Golden Eagles to a 1-0 first-half lead, but the Wolves rallied to advance to the sectional semifinals Tuesday against No. 2 Delsea.

 

South Non-Public A

(5) CBA 2, (4) Monsignor Donovan 1 (OT)

Freshman Matt Thorsheim converted a penalty kick in the fourth minute of overtime after a takedown in the 18-yard box to lift the Colts to a golden-goal win over the Griffins. Sophomore Tom Lozowski drew the foul in the box as he was attacking the goal.

Monsignor Donovan tied the game in the 65th minute when Connor Grant volleyed a header from Jake Maxwell off a throw-in by Dom DiSalvo.

CBA junior Russell Romano finished a through-ball from Colin Mulligan in the 23rd minute to give CBA a 1-0 lead.

CBA will travel to No. 1 Pingry Tuesday for the sectional semifinals.

(2) Notre Dame 2, (7) Red Bank Catholic 1 (OT)

Jacob Kwami scored two goals, including the golden goal in overtime, to lead the Irish to a win over the Caseys. Bryan Andrew scored the lone RBC goal.
