Class A South

Toms River East 3, Southern 1

Josh Sommerer, Alex Matos and Chris Varga scored a goal each and the Raiders (2-3, 2-2) pulled away to beat the Rams (3-4, 1-4). Gavin Dougherty accounted for the Southern goal.

No. 3 Toms River North 3, Jackson Memorial 1

Liam McDonnell and Ryan Cheslock scored goals late in the first half and Cedric Cook added a score early in the second as the Mariners (5-1, 4-0) beat the Jaguars (3-4-1, 2-3-0) for their fifth straight win.

Mike Schoener gave Jackson Memorial an early 1-0 lead 7:54 into the game, but Cheslock answered with the equalizer 32 seconds later.

No. 2 Toms River South 4, No. 9 Brick Memorial 1

Junior Cameron Geerinck assisted goals by Mike Tapp and Ryan Shiffer in the first half and Francesco LoScrudato added a goal in the second half to help the Indians (5-0, 4-0) beat the Mustangs (4-2, 2-2) and remain unbeaten. Toms River South benefited from an own goal four minutes into the game that opened the scoring.

Kevin Simek broke up the shutout with a 20-yard strike from straight on, ending a scoreless streak of 375 minutes for the Toms River South defense.

Lacey 4, Brick 1

Junior Robert Biele recorded a hat trick and the Lions (4-3, 2-2) climbed over the .500 mark by beating the Green Dragons (1-4, 0-4). Hunter Dorsey also scored a goal for Lacey.

 

Class B North

No. 8 Wall 6, Neptune 0

Michael Wheeler recorded a second-half hat trick and the Crimson Knights (4-2, 3-1)broke out for five goals after halftime to take care of the Scarlet Fliers (1-6-1, 0-5-0). Sophomore Ben Kernis scored the opening goal in the 38th minute, while Zach Hetzel and junior Dean Sabo each scored to make it 4-0 and 5-0, respectively.

 

Class B Central

Keyport 2, Mater Dei Prep 0

Joe Froncek and Brendan O'Brien each scored second-half goals and the Red Raiders (2-2, 2-2) topped the Seraphs (0-4, 0-3) in B Central.

No. 4 Shore 6, Ranney 0

J.T. Kessler scored two goals to lead a five-goal first half and the Blue Devils (6-1, 4-0) rolled to a win over the Panthers (0-4, 0-3) to remain unbeaten in the division and Shore Conference. Mike Barreca opened the scoring in the first minute off a pass from Kessler and Cole Allem hammered in a goal in the ninth to extend the lead to 2-0.

St. Rose 5, Asbury Park 1

Five different players scored a goal and the Purple Roses (4-2, 4-0) cruised to a win over the Blue Bishops (3-3, 3-1) to keep pace with Shore in the division race. Joe Forlenza, Ryan O'Malley, John Sullivan, Sean Bruche and Anthony DeMaio each scored for St. Rose.

Point Beach 6, Henry Hudson 0

Johan Rosa had two goals and an assist and the Garnet Gulls (2-3, 2-2) beat the Admirals (0-4, 0-4) for their second straight win. Dan Savage, Cory Gross, Aris Papoutsakis and Connor Prima each added a goal and an assist for Point Beach.

 

Class B South

Jackson Liberty 7, Manchester 0

Adam Haidi and Brandon Pirog each had a hat trick and two assists and the Lions (4-2, 4-0) routed the Hawks (0-6-1, 0-3-1) to stay unbeaten in Class B South. Bryan Garry also added a goal and two assists in the win.

Pinelands 1, Barnegat 0

Rabi Orellana scored off a pass from Hyatt Yilmaz in the 13th minute and the Wildcats (2-2, 2-2) held on to beat the Bengals (1-5, 1-3).

Central 6, Lakewood 0

Blake Czajkowski and Youssef Abdelaziz each scored two goals and Griffin Bacon and Gustavo Ponce each added a goal as the Golden Eagles (4-1, 3-1) stormed past the Piners (0-6-1, 0-4-1). Frank Golda and Nate Wiley each had two assists in the win.

Point Boro 2, Donovan Catholic 1

Alex Stupar scored two second-half goals and the Panthers (4-2, 4-1) rallied from a one-goal halftime deficit to upend the Griffins (3-2, 2-2). Stupar tied the game in the 47th minute and scored the winner in the 65th minute.

Dom DiSalvo gave Donovan Catholic a 1-0 in the 32nd minute with a goal off a pass from Bryce Grant.
