Class A Central

St. John Vianney 2, Monmouth 0

Senior Alex Politi scored off a pass over the top of the defense by junior Marc Urbealis to open the scoring eight minutes into the second half and Christian Bruno added a goal in the 61st minute off a corner kick as the Lancers (6-3, 6-3) beat the Falcons (7-8, 4-6) to clinch an SCT berth.

Matawan 1, Rumson-Fair Haven 0

Sada Mehari scored off a Bronson Dhume pass 1:40 into the second half and the Huskies (10-3, 8-3) edged the Bulldogs (4-8-2, 4-4-2) to move within a win of a Class A Central title. Matawan can clinch the outright title with a win over Manasquan on Friday and a St. John Vianney loss or tie to any one of Manasquan, Holmdel or Rumson-Fair Haven.

Raritan 2, Manasquan 0

Freshman Louis DiLaurenzio scored in the 22nd minute and Chris Medina added a goal in the 48th to help the Rockets (3-9-1, 1-9-0) down the Warriors (8-6-1, 5-4-1) for their first Class A Central win of the season.

 

Class B North

Red Bank 4, Colts Neck 2

Sam MacPherson recorded a hat trick and Justin Delaney added a goal as well to lead the Bucs (10-3, 8-3) to a win over the Cougars (7-6, 6-4). Red Bank remains within striking distance of Ocean and Wall for the Class B North championship.

Louis Reale scored in the 8th minute to open the scoring and give Colts Neck a 1-0 lead before MacPherson scored three unanswered goals over a stretch of 18:05 in the second half. Brian Knauf scored to cut Red Bank's lead to 3-2 with 3:50 left until halftime and neither team scored until Delaney capped the win with a goal in the final seconds of the game. Taylor Demick also assisted both Colts Neck goals.

Ocean 2, Long Branch 1

Cosimo Franze scored in the 72nd minute to break a 1-1 tie and the Spartans (7-5-1, 7-2-1) edged the Green Wave (7-6, 4-5) to remain atop the Class B North standings with Wall. Marlhens Nasanes scored the first Ocean goal in the 33rd minute to open the scoring before Guilherme DeNovaes tied the game in the 59th minute off a pass from Sam Hernandez.

Wall 3, Red Bank Catholic 0

Reilly Barcas broke a scoreless tie four minutes before halftime and the Crimson Knights (9-3-1, 7-2-1) added two more goals in the second half on their way to a win over the Caseys (2-11, 2-8). With its win, Wall remains in a first-place tie with Ocean with two games left for each team, the latter of which will be against one another on Friday.

Gerardo Medina scored the second Wall goal off a pass from Zach Hetzel and Joe Toashjy capped the scoring off a feed from Connor Fry in the 63rd. Dan Frisch-Harmon also picked up an assist, setting up Barcas' goal in the 37th.
