Shore Conference Tournament - Bracket

Quarterfinals

(1) Holmdel 4, (8) Southern 1

Jack Giamanco scored a goal in each half and Anthony Arena added a goal and an assist to lead the Hornets (15-0) past the Rams (8-5-2) and into the SCT semifinals for the second straight year.

Arena scored the go-ahead goal off a pass from Jack Russo in the 34th minute to break a 1-1 tie and found Giamanco for a goal with seven seconds left on the first-half clock, sending Holmdel to halftime with a 3-1 lead.

Giamanco added a goal in the second half to cap the scoring.

Mark McStay unleased a 25-yard strike off a pass-back from Arena to open the scoring midway through the first half. Southern answered with a 30-yard free kick by John Paul Prosperi that tied the game in the 30th.

Holmdel will take on No. 4 Ocean in a rematch of last year's SCT championship game, which Holmdel won, 7-1, behind an SCT finals record five goals by Arena.

(2) Jackson Memorial 3, (7) Manalapan 1

Joe Schlageter scored two goals and assisted one by Dan Russo to lead the Jaguars (13-1) past the Braves (8-6-2) and back to the SCT semifinals for the second straight year. Russo also assisted on one of Schlageter's two goals.

Junior Kyle Samber scored his first varsity goal off a pass from Justin Goldberg to get Manalapan on the board.

Jackson Memorial will take on No. 3 CBA in the first semifinal on Monday night at Point Boro, which is slated to kickoff at 5 p.m.

(4) Ocean 3, (21) Raritan 0

Santieno Harding scored two goals in the first half and Erick Vasquez added one in the 64th minute to pace the Spartans (14-3) to a win over the Rockets (7-8-1). Ocean moves on to the SCT semifinals for the second straight year and third time in four years.

Harding headed in a diagonal cross from Luke Yates off of one bounce to open the scoring in the 25th minute. The senior striker made it 2-0 in the 34th when he drew a foul inside the 18-yard box and converted the ensuing penalty kick.

Vasquez scored on a rebound of a putback attempt by James Schutz to cap the scoring. Max Winters, meanwhile, made six saves to earn the shutout, including a key double-save in the final minute of the first half to deny scoring bids by Jake Fortune and Nick Bavaro.

Ocean will meet top-seeded Holmdel in the second semifinal on Monday night at Point Boro. The game will be a rematch of last year's SCT championship game, which Holmdel won in a rout, 7-1, behind five goals by Anthony Arena.

(3) CBA 2, (11) Manasquan 0

Joe Lozowski scored off a pass from Dom Bellomo in the 39th minute to give CBA momentum heading into halftime and the Colts (14-3) rode it to a victory over the Warriors (10-6-1) that clinches CBA a spot in the SCT semifinals for the third time in four years.

Luke Pascarella buried a direct kick in the 53rd minute to give his team some insurance and goalkeeper Eric Wnorowski nailed down the shutout to send CBA to the Shore final four.

CBA will play No. 2 Jackson Memorial in the first game of Monday's semifinal double-header at Point Pleasant Boro.
