Class A North

No. 3 Freehold Twp. 1, No. 9 Marlboro 1

Marlboro sophomore Zach Scarpa and Freehold Township senior Nick Facendo trade first-half goals and the Mustangs (5-4-2, 4-4-2) and Patriots (6-2-3, 6-2-2) battled to a draw in a game called due to lightning in the fourth minute of the first overtime period.

Scarpa drilled a one-timed shot to the upper 90 to give Marlboro a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute. Facendo answered in the 19th when he took a pass from Sean O'Donnell, beat a defender and lifted a shot over Marlboro goalkeeper James Weinberg.

 

Class A Central

Monmouth 1, Matawan 0

Fabian Burgo scored on a pass from Ross Spadavecchia  in the first half and the Falcons (8-7, 5-5) held on to beat the Huskies (4-5-3, 2-5-3) and clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

 

Class A South

No. 10 Lacey 7, Brick 0

Robert Biele notched his fourth hat trick of the season and the Lions (11-2, 9-1) coasted to a win over the Green Dragons (1-10, 1-9). Sam Moynihan, Reilly Hunt and Kevin Miller each added a goal for Lacey.

Jackson Memorial 2, Toms River North 0

Joey Stoltenberg and Mike Schoener each scored a goal and the Jaguars (8-4-1, 7-3-1) beat the Mariners (6-4-1, 6-3-1) to sweep the regular-season series.

Southern 5, Toms River East 3

Ethan Leming scored two goals and the Rams (3-9, 3-8) scored all five of their goals between the 47th and 68th minutes to take down the Raiders (1-9-2, 1-9-1).

Matt McHugh, Kyle Montesano and Mike Young each added a goal for Southern, which scored four straight goals to take a 4-1 lead.

Ryan LaBelle, Chandler Gibbons and Dan Smyth each scored for Toms River East.

 

Class B North

No. 8 Colts Neck 3, Long Branch 0

Dean Raynor scored two goals and Tice Smit and Noah Baker combined for Colts Neck's seventh shutout as the Cougars (8-3-1, 7-3-0) won their third straight by beating the Green Wave (5-6-1, 3-4-1).

Michael Martinho opened the scoring in the 11th minute by scoring from 10 yards out on a pass from Chris Strzalkowski. Raynor then headed a corner kick into the upper left corner to increase the lead to 2-0 in the 36th. Raynor then scored on a 20-yard free kick over the Long Branch wall and under the crossbar for the final goal in the 63rd.

With the shutout, Colts Neck has allowed only six goals in 12 games.

No. 7 Ocean 6, Neptune 0

Marlhens Nasanes and Joe Abrams scored two goals each and the Spartans (9-2, 8-1) beat the Scarlet Fliers (7-8, 3-7). Ryan Wells and Stephen Carton each added a goal for Ocean.

 

Class B Central

Keyport 3, Mater Dei Prep 2 (OT)

Junior Brendan O'Brien capped a hat trick with the golden goal in the 88th minute to give the Red Raiders (3-7, 3-7) a win over the Seraphs (3-8-1, 3-7-1).

Phil Cantave scored in the final minute of regulation to send the game into overtime after Nic Geneve cut Mater Dei's deficit in half with a goal in the 44th. O'Brien scored his first two goals five minutes apart to give Keyport a 2-0 lead in the 29th.

Point Beach 5, Henry Hudson 1

Aris Papoutsakis, Johan Rosa, Ryan Franzoni, Danny Savage and Jeremy Tombs each scored a goal and the Garnet Gulls (7-4-1, 7-2-1) topped the Admirals (0-10, 0-10). Rosa and Savage each added an assist and Christian Maness assisted two goals.

Tom Colantino scored Henry Hudson's first goal of the season.

No. 2 Shore 7, Ranney 0

J.T. Kessler scored three goals and Dante Montesinos and Stevie Johnson each added two as the Blue Devils (12-0, 10-0) remained unbeaten by beating the Panthers (8-4, 7-4).

St. Rose 3, Asbury Park 0

Matty O'Malley had a goal and an assist and Mike Gowen and Anthony Demaio each added a goal as the Purple Roses (8-4, 8-3) shut out the Blue Bishops (3-10, 3-8).

 

Class B South

Jackson Liberty 6, Manchester 0

Bryan Garry and Kevin Garry each scored a goal and an assist and the Lions (5-6-1, 5-4-1) took care of the Hawks (0-13, 0-11). Trevor Anderson, Alex Iorio, Nate Santana and Sabastian Navarro each added a goal in the win.

Donovan Catholic 3, Point Boro 0

Alec Mapoy and Matt Dalton each had a goal and an assist and the Griffins (8-2-2, 8-1-2) blanked the Panthers (11-2, 9-2), snapping Point Boro's nine-game winning streak. Kevin Dillon earned a shutout in goal with regular starter Evan Root injured.

Bryce Grant opened the scoring in the 24th minute and Mapoy gave Donovan Catholic a two-goal lead with a minute left in the first half on a bending shot around a Point Boro wallo on a direct kick. Mapoy later foound Dalton for a goal in the 70th to cap the scoring.

Pinelands 2, Barnegat 1

Denilson Salgado scored two goals to erase Barnegat's one-goal lead by halftime and the Wildcats (7-5, 7-4) held on to edge the Bengals (3-10, 2-8). Ricky Norman scored 10 minutes into the game to give Barnegat a 1-0 advantage. Salgado equalized in the 17th and gave Pinelands the lead in the 34th.

Central 2, Lakewood 0

Gustavo Ponce scored off a Youseff Abdelaziz feed in the eighth and Jake Dufner scored in the 51st to help the Golden Eagles (7-3-2, 7-3-1) close out a win over the Piners (3-8, 3-7).
