Class A North

Colts Neck 2, Manalapan 1

Christian Saavedra assisted the equalizer by Zach Schaffer and scored the winner as the Cougars (6-6, 5-6) rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat the Braves (2-7-1, 2-7-0). Rocky Garretson gave Manalapan a 1-0 lead with a penalty kick in the first half.

No. 1 CBA 4, No. 4 Freehold Twp. 1

Sophomore Joe Lozowski scored two goals and classmate Jack Gill added another as the Colts (12-0, 9-0) handled the Patriots (8-4, 7-4) despite not getting any goals from its starting 11.

CBA benefitted from an own goal in the fourth minute and Lozowski scored off a rebound following a shot by Scott Misson in the 23rd minute. Lozowski's first goal was the first of three during a span of 2:54, with Adrian Barajas answering for Freehold Township in the 24th minute by heading in a free kick by Andrew DiBella.

Lozowski responded to the goal by Barajas by knocking in a cross from Tom Judge 29 seconds after the Patriots cut their deficit in half.

Gill capped the scoring in the 58th with an overhead volley with his back to the goal after Matt Mawson set him up with the pass.

No. 2 Marlboro 5, Freehold Boro 1

Jacob Grine scored two goals and P.J. Ringel pitched in a goal and two assists to lead the Mustangs (11-1, 9-1) past the Colonials (4-7, 4-5) for their 10th straight win.

Steven Karp also assisted goals by Ryan LaRocca and Varazdat Topuzyan to round out the Marlboro scoring.

Abelardo Herrera scored the lone Freehold goal, which cut Marlboro's lead to 3-1 early in the second half.

 

Class A Central

Shore 4, Red Bank 0

Four Shore players scored a goal and Dante Montesinos assisted two of them to lead the Blue Devils (5-3-4, 4-2-3) past the Bucs (4-6-1, 4-4-1). Mikey Barreca scored the first Shore goal and also assisted another in the win.

Freshman Patrick O'Dwyer scored his first varsity goal to make the score 2-0 and sophomore Taylor Sousa made it 3-0 with his goal. Stevie Johnson capped the scoring in the 62nd minute.

Rumson-Fair Haven 2, Raritan 1

Tony Paolantonio headed in the winning goal on a cross from Nick Calabrese and the Bulldogs (5-7, 4-5) knocked off the Rockets (7-2-2, 4-2-2). Calabrese also assisted a goal by Jack Balestro in the first half.

Jake Fortune scored the lone goal for Raritan.

 

Class B North

Long Branch 1, Middletown South (OT)

Venancio Fernandes scored the golden goal in overtime on a pass from Renan Acevedo and the Green Wave (4-8, 4-7) edged the Eagles (5-7-1, 4-6-1).

No. 5 Ocean 1, No. 8 Middletown North 0

For the second straight game, the Spartans (10-1, 9-1) pulled out a key B North 1-0 road win thanks to an own goal, this time scoring in the 10th minute and holding off the Lions (7-3-1, 7-3-0). Ocean defeated Manasquan on an overtime own goal on Wednesday.

No. 7 Manasquan 1, No. 10 Wall 0

Dan Del Guercio buried an upper-90 shot from 18 yards out off a through ball from Aaron Kocienski in the second half and the Warriors (9-3-1, 8-2-1) and goalkeeper Jack Long made it hold up in a win over the Crimson Knights (8-4-2, 7-2-2).

Monmouth 2, Red Bank Catholic 0

Brian Walsak converted a free kick and Joel Burgos finished off a pass from Jason Wolff as the Falcons (2-11, 2-9) beat the Caseys (1-12, 0-11) for the second time this season.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 6, Henry Hudson 1

Mike Ciorlian scored two goals and an assist and Danny Savage added a goal and an assist to lead the Garnet Gulls (5-6, 5-4) past the Admirals (4-8, 2-7). Ki Costa, Max Alia and Ben Glass added a goal apiece for Point Beach, while Ethan Kelley scored the lone Henry Hudson goal.

Ranney 2, Keyport 0

Shane Keenan scored the first goal and Sawyer Howard added his first varsity goal for insurance and the Panthers (9-3, 8-1) topped the Red Raiders (0-11, 0-8).

 

Class B South

Lakewood 6, Barnegat 4

Anthony Calixto scored all four of his goals in the second half and the Piners (5-8, 3-7) emerged victorious over the Bengals (4-9, 3-8) after a wild second half that included eight total goals.

Freshman Nathanael Wharlton also scored in the second half to help the Lakewood cause and Junior Bravo scored the first Lakewood goal in the eight minute after Chad Fraser gave a Barnegat a 1-0 lead with a goal in the fifth.

Alex Cermansky's goal pulled Barnegat within 4-2 in the 60th minute. Justin Gomez and Ryan Flaherty also scored within five minutes of one another to cut Lakewood's lead to 5-4 by the 69th minute. Calixto's fourth goal in the 76th minute gave Lakewood an extra goal of breathing room and capped the scoring.

 

Non-Division

No. 6 Matawan 2, No. 9 Asbury Park 1

Charlie Costello staked Matawan to a 1-0 halftime lead and Keleb Mehari scored what turned out to be the winning goal as the Huskies (9-2-1) handed the Blue Bishops (9-1) their first loss of the season. Davensky JoinVilmar scored to pull Asubry Park within a goal.
