Howell 3, Marlboro 1

The Rebels topped the Mustangs to clinch a Shore Conference Tournament berth behind two goals by junior Leroy Anderson.

No. 5 Manalapan 3, No. 4 Colts Neck 2

Brian Dolan one-timed a sliding shot a deflected pass by Ryan Hammer in the 67th minute to cap a come-from-behind win against the Cougars and clinch Manalapan at least a share of the Class A North title for the first time since 2005, according to coach John Natoli.

Jordan Vance tied the game four minutes before Dolan won it by one timing a throw-in by Dolan out of the air and into the net. Freshman Rocky Garrettson scored Manalapan's first goal in the 53rd minute by poking the ball out of a scrum following a corner kick.

Colts Neck took a 2-0 lead into the second half with goals by Mick Lee and Taylor Demick.

No. 7 CBA 5, Middletown North 1

Russell Romano scored two goals and the Colts rolled to a win over the Lions to keep their hopes for a Class A North co-title alive. Devon Battachyra, Gianluca DiUbaldi and Thasani Scheidt each scored a goal for CBA, which would tie Manalapan for the Class A North championship by beating Colts Neck along with a Braves loss to Howell on Monday.

No. 8 Freehold Twp. 4, Middletown South 3

Nick Facendo scored two goals and assisted a goal by Mike Staklinski as the Patriots held off a late surge by the Eagles to pick up a win in their Class A North finale.Kyle Czajkowski also scored for Freehold Township.

Josh Bardell and Matt Carlo scored four minutes apart for Middletown South to cut the deficit to 4-3 with 1:20 left. Hunter Davey also had a goal and an assist in the loss.

 

Class A Central

Red Bank Catholic 4, Monmouth 1

Patrick Meehan scored two goals to lead the Caseys back from an early 1-0 deficit and beat the Falcons to qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament. Chris Cesario added a goal and an assist for RBC.

No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 2, Manasquan 1

Eamon Kitson and Kieran Doherty scored a goal each and the Bulldogs edged the Warriors to clinch a share of the Class A Central title, their first division title since 2008, when they won Class B Central.

 

Class B North

No. 6 Ocean 3, Freehold 1

Justin Silverberg and Gabe Jean-Charles scored first-half goals and Claudio Martins scored an insurance goal eight minutes into the second half as the Spartans beat the Colonials to clinch their second straight Class B North championship. Moises Garcia scored in the 32nd minute for Freehold.

Wall 3, Neptune 1

Zach Hetzel scored two goals and the Crimson Knights beat the Scarlet Fliers to extend their unbeaten streak to eight games. Stevenly Joseph scored the only goal for Neptune, which also allowed an own goal.

Red Bank 7, Long Branch 5

Justin Gilson four goals - all in the second half - and the Bucs won a wild game against the Green Wave to qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament. Gilson scored three of his goals on headers off free kicks by Chris Saldo and another on a penalty kick after he was fouled inside the 18-yard box.

Dylan Fogerty scored the go-ahead by knocking a cross from Sam MacPherson out of the air and inside the near post in the 72nd minute to put Red Bank ahead, 5-4. Gilson converted his penalty kick less than two minutes later for what turned out to be the game-winner.

Red Bank took an early 2-0 lead on goals by MacPherson and Fogerty. Long Branch then pulled within a goal by halftime thanks to a goal by Giobrahny Padilla in the 31st minute.

Fabio DeSousa scored two goals in the first 19 minutes of the second half to put Long Branch on top 3-2 and after Gilson's first goal tied the game at three in the 62nd minute, Jairo Castro score the first of his two second-half goals to put Long Branch ahead 4-3.

Gilson and Fogerty then combined for three goals in a span of fewer than five minutes to put Red Bank ahead for good.

 

Class B Central

Shore 2, Mater Dei Prep 1

J.T. Kessler and Cole Allem scored a goal apiece and the Blue Devils hung on for a win over the Seraphs, which sets up a showdown at Point Beach on Monday for the Class B Central title. Nic Geneve scored Mater Dei's goal in the 74th minute.

Point Beach 2, St. Rose 1

Charlie Turro converted a penalty kick in the 16th minute of overtime and the Garnet Gulls beat the Purple Roses to stay in the Class B Central division title hunt. Turro also assisted Alex Ciorlian's goal in the first half.

Point Beach will host Shore on Monday in what is effectively the Class B Central championship game. The winner will be the outright division champion and a tie would result in the teams sharing the title as co-champions.

Joe Forlenza scored the lone St. Rose goal in the first half.

 

Class B South

Monsignor Donovan 2, Barnegat 0

The Griffins scored on an own goal and a penalty kick by Sean Suskevich in a shutout win over the Bengals that keeps Monsignor Donovan in contention for the Class B South championship.

Point Boro 2, Manchester 0

The Panthers opened the scoring with an own goal and put the game away when Weston Bargholz found Nick DeCurtis for an insurance tally in the 55th, giving Point Boro a win over the Hawks to keep them in a first-place tie with Monsignor Donovan.

Jackson Liberty 4, Lakewood 0

Brandon Pirog scored two goals and Adam Haidi had three assists as the Lions blanked the Piners in Class B South. Bryan Garry and Aiden Benbrook each added a goal for Jackson Liberty.
