CLASS A NORTH

No. 4 CBA 11, Colts Neck 7

Sophomore attackman Michael Carroll scored four times and senior midfielder John Salcedo scored twice as the Colts (5-3, 3-0) topped the Cougars (2-6, 2-1).

Shay Walczak had one goal and two assists and Nick Casner and Luke Valentino had one goal each.

Colts Neck senior goalie Andrew Halmi made 16 saves to go over 600 for his career, and now has a school-record 614 stops. Chris Bisignano, Vinnie Gargiulo, Nick Lago, Jack Schaefer, Anthony Mauriello, Nick DiBella and Mike Heck scored for the Cougars.

 

No. 8 Howell 13, Neptune 8

Junior attackman Drew Bukowiec had one goal and seven assists while Ryan Damielo scored four times and Jason Kenny fired in three goals as the Rebels (6-3, 2-1) raced out a nine-goal lead and held off a late rally by the Scarlet Fliers (2-5, 0-3).

Nico Lorenzo added two goals.

 

No. 10 Freehold Township 14, Marlboro 3

Junior attackman Josh Nastarowicz scored four goals and added five assists to lead the Patriots (4-3, 1-1) past the Mustangs (1-6, 0-3).

Chris Novella sank four goals with four assists and Drew Dunn had three goals and three assists. Matt Graybush scored his first varsity goal and Mike Ferdinandi and Mike Martino also scored for Freehold Township.

 

Middletown South 6, Middletown North 5 (2OT)

 

CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 16, Lacey 6

Senior attackman Nick Simonelli hit for five goals and five assists and junior Kyle Mulrane scored five goals with one assist as the Rams (7-0, 4-0) remained undefeated by downing the Lions (4-3, 1-2).

Junior midfielder Will Johnson added one goal and three assists and senior midfielder James Manzo scored twice. Senior midfielder Jon Manzo had two assists and junior goalie Tristan Farina made seven saves.

Ryan Mahon had two goals and one assist and JoeCarlo Chimenti also scored twice for Lacey.

 

No. 9 Toms River North 5, No. 6 Brick Memorial 4

Josh Francis scored with 2:02 left to lift the Mariners (6-1, 3-0) past the Mustangs (7-1, 3-1) in a crucial divisional game.

Andrew Alvarez scored twice, Andrew Lombardi had one goal and one assist and Ryan Clancy also scored for Toms River North. Noah Squirres made 11 saves.

Senior Billy Porter and junior Gavin Murphy each had one goal and one assist for Brick Memorial, while senior Chris Sayers made 12 saves.

 

Brick 7, Jackson Memorial 2

 

CLASS B NORTH

Shore 16, St. John Vianney 4

Senior midfielder Doug Goldsmith erupted for six goals and three assists and freshman midfielder Gil Goldsmith had a hat trick with four assists to power the Blue Devils (5-3, 2-1) to a big win over the Lancers (5-4, 2-3).

Henry Cioffi and Ryan Morris each scored twice and Jack Britton had one goal and two assists. Hunter Avallone made seven saves.

Junior Tino D'Amore scored three times for St. John Vianney and Connor Zielasnicki had one goal and one assist. D.J. Soriano made 13 saves.

 

Red Bank Catholic 12, Holmdel 6

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 7 Wall 8, St. Rose 3

Senior attackman Mike Steppe scored three times and added two assists, and sophomore attackman Mike McIntyre also scored three times to lead the Crimson Knights (7-1, 3-0) past the Purple Roses (1-4, 0-2).

Casey Foley and William Forte each had one goal and one assist and Lucas Iarossi had two assists. Zach Harrell made 12 saves.

Chris Bormida scored twice and Shane Reilly had one goal for St. Rose. Robbie Brugnoli made 18 saves.

 

Jackson Liberty 12, Donovan Catholic 2

 

NONCONFERENCE

Summit 12, No. 2 Manasquan 2

Jarrett Birch scored twice and Pat Felstedt also scored, but the Warriors (7-2) fell to the undefeated Hilltoppers (8-0), who are ranked No. 2 in New Jersey.
