CLASS A NORTH

No. 5 CBA 14, No. 7 Freehold Township 4

Junior attackman Nick Casner scored three goals and added five assists to lead the way for the Colts (9-5, 7-0), who dominated the Patriots (9-4, 6-2) to clinch the Class A North division title.

Senior attackman Shay Walczak added three goals and three assists while freshman attackman Connor Macrae and junior midfielder Ryan Madalone each had two goals and one assist. Senior attackman Cologialo Muscara and senior midfielder John Salcedo each had one goal and one assist. Senior midfielder Shane McGuiness and sophomore attackman Robbie Hermansen each scored once.

Senior defenseman Gordon Paul had double-digit ground balls to anchor the defense, while junior goalie Ryan McGuiness made seven saves.

 

CLASS A SOUTH

Jackson Memorial 5, Lacey 4 (OT)

The Jaguars (4-11, 1-6) won a thriller over the Lions (7-6, 3-4) as junior midfielder Dakota Neron scored with three seconds left in regulation to force overtime, and senior attackman Justin Mayer netted the game-winner 1:30 into the extra period.

Neron and Mayer each scored twice, and Mayer also had one assist. Freshman attackman Santo Porazzo scored once and junior goalie Dylan Furnback made 19 saves.

Ryan Mahon hd one goal and one assist for Lacey, and senior goalie Mike Trezza made 12 saves.

 

Brick 9, Toms River East 4

Richie Cosgrove had two goals and two assists and Mickey Holland had two goals and one assist to fuel the Dragons (4-9, 2-5) in their victory over the Raiders (2-10, 2-5).

Zion Powell picked up 11 ground balls and Tyler Palmer made 14 saves.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

Jackson Liberty 13, St. Rose 3

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Donovan Catholic 10, Ranney 5

Senior midfielder Pete Schlendorf reached 200 career points and led the Griffins (3-10) past the Panthers (0-10).

 

Red Bank 13, Toms River South 5

Senior midfielder Brian Fagan scored five goals, including the 100th of his career, and added an assist as the Bucs (7-9) downed the Indians (4-7).

Senior attackman Cole Smolokoff also had five goals and one assist while senior midfielder Ryan Gilmartin had three goals and one assist. Senior goalie Jon Pierce had another big game with 20 saves.

 

NONCONFERENCE

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 7, St. Peter's Prep 4

Senior attackman Robbie Garavente had two goals and one assist and junior midfielder Bryan Hess scored twice as the Bulldogs (11-3) won a key nonconference matchup against the Marauders (8-6).

Junior attackman Charlie Curran finished with one goal and one assist and senior attackman Henry Sillen and Griffin Schultz each tallied once. Senior face-off middie Butch Clark had a big game in winning 12 of 14 face-offs and picked up eight ground balls. Junior defenseman Emmett Jennings led the defensive effort with five ground balls and one takeaway, and senior goalie Kyle Knapp made seven saves.
