CLASS A NORTH

No. 2 CBA 14, Middletown South 2

 

No. 6 Freehold Township 5, No. 8 Howell 1

Sophomore attackman Brendan Doel scored three goals and added two assists and senior goalie Aidan Purcell made eight saves as the Patriots (3-0, 1-0) opened a 4-1 lead after the first quarter and held on to defeat the Rebels (2-2, 0-1).

Billy Sebor and Matt Graybush also scored goals and Chris Novella had an assist.

Keith Hallbauer scored Howell's lone goal and Nick Roberto made nine saves.

 

Colts Neck 13, Neptune 5

Anastagio Muscara scored four goals with one assist and Nick Lago and Zack Alagna tallied three goals and one assist each to lead the Cougars (1-2, 1-0) past the Scarlet Fliers (0-2, 0-1).

Tristan McMerty added two goals, Dan SanFillippo scored once and Nick Giantasio dished out three assists. Brandon Cifone made 16 saves in goal to earn the win.

Nick Brown and Kevin Clohosey each scored twice for Neptune. Jahi Neely scored once, Chase Fairbanks picked up 12 ground balls and Seamus McAnee made 11 saves.

 

CLASS B NORTH

Shore 6, Red Bank Catholic 5 (2OT)

Senior attackman Ryan Morris sent the Blue Devils home with a victory when he scored off a pass from Tom Bocco in double overtime to clinch a victory over the Caseys. Morris finished with a pair of goals while junior midfielder Gil Goldsmith led all scorers with two goals and two assists. Jake Turner and Bocco had one goal each and Scott Sirianni made 10 saves.

Tyler Brand had a goal and an assist while Ryan Schellin, Brennan Fredericks, Kyle Beggio and Pat Brady each scored once for RBC. Colin Marshall made 12 saves in goal for the Caseys.

Shore led 3-1 at halftime and owned a 36-20 advantage in shots.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 5 Wall 17, St. Rose 3

Tim O'Hern netted five goals and Mike McIntyre had three goals and three assists as the Crimson Knights (3-1, 1-0) overpowered the Purple Roses (0-3, ).

Jack Textor also scored three times while Will Forte had two goals and one assist and Connor Prindiville had a goal and two assists. Kyle Wenzel chipped in with one goal and one assist and Ethan Doyle and James Plisky each scored once. Sean DeMott made four saves and Ryan Kellett picked up a game-high nine ground balls.

Spencer Flynn had a goal and an assist and Shane Reilly and P.J. Keegan each scored once for St. Rose.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Point Boro 6, Middle Township 5

Cormac McCabe scored four goals and also assisted on a goal and Parker Roncin made eight saves as the Panthers (3-2) edged Middle Township at Al Saner Field. Tanner Gordon and Colby Biggs each scored once.
