CLASS A NORTH

Middletown South 12, Marlboro 4

Jason Allen scored four goals and Connor Ard had a hat trick to pace the Eagles (4-2) in their win over the Mustangs (0-4). Matt Ferrigno and Ryan Grzeszczak each finished with one goal and one assist and Liam Blancher, Matt Fallon and Carter Lenhard scored once. Chris Lucyk and Matt Tardy each had two assists and Shane Murphy made four saves.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 1 Manasquan 17, Colts Neck 3

Junior attackman Canyon Birch continued his torrid start to the season with six goals and three assists to fuel the top-ranked Warriors (4-0) in their win over the Cougars (1-3). Birch now has 41 points in four games this season.

Junior Ryan Anderson also continued his great start to the season with three goals and five assists while junior midfielder James Pendergist made his season debut with three goals.

Nick Lago scored twice, Nick Giantasio had a goal and an assist and Brandon Cifone made eight saves for Colts Neck.

 

No. 4 Southern 6, No. 3 Rumson-Fair Haven 5 (OT)

Junior attackman Nick Fontana took a pass from Aniello Russo and fired in the game-winning goal in the opening minute of overtime to give the Rams (4-0) a thrilling victory over the Bulldogs (1-4).

Fontana had a game-high three goals while Russo scored twice and sophomore midfielder Ben LoParo scored once. Goalie Luke Maul led a superb defensive effort with 10 saves.

Sophomore attackman Rowan Goldin scored twice and freshman midfielder Patrick Jamin had a goal and three assists to lead Rumson. William Sullivan and Jack Whitelaw had one goal apiece and senior goalie Sean Bunnell made eight saves.

 

No. 7 Holmdel 10, Brick 3

Justin Arredondo scored five goals and added two assists and Nick Tuccillo made eight saves as the Hornets (3-2) defeated the Dragons (2-1).

Jake Preziose and Dan Tempone had one goal and one assist each and Tempone also went 10 of 15 on face-offs. Dan Buntin, Joe Hazel and Alex Van Name had one goal apiece and Sean Dolan collected eight ground balls.

 

No. 10 Toms River East 18, Donovan Catholic 8

Salvatore Esposito tallied five goals and three assists and Matt Gannon fired in four goals plus two assists to power the Raiders (2-1) to a victory over the Griffins (0-3).

Evan Otten had two goals and two assists and Alex Smith and Kohler Wagner each notched two goals and one assist. Anthony Marinelli had a goal and 10 ground balls and Tyler Budrow made 17 saves.

 

Toms River South 11, Barnegat 2

Declan Mullin tallied three goals and three assists and Andrew Xiques and Jared Holmes each scored twice as the Indians (2-2) downed the Bengals (0-4).

Corey Snyder, Kevin Dibernardo, Billy Meyer and Connor Ryan each scored their first career goals.

 

Jackson Memorial 14, Long Branch 1

Sean Laverty scored four goals with one assist and Nick Perillo and Santo Porazzo each had three goals and one assist as the Jaguars (3-0) rolled over the Green Wave (0-6).

Aaron Hutchinson and Logan Reese each had one goal and one assist while Joe Iacobone and Matt Perillo also scored. Yael Bonilla made three saves.

Zahdierr Blueford scored and Keith Dement made seven saves for Long Branch.

 

Neptune 11, Point Boro 3

Nick Brown and Jahi Neely each scored four goals and Seamus McAnee made eight saves to steer the Scarlet Fliers (1-2) to a victory over the Panthers (3-3).

Kevin Clohosey added two goals and one assist, Ryan Gannon had a goal and an assist and Chase Fairbanks gathered 12 ground balls.

T.J. Palazzo, Colton Carls and Cormac McCabe scored and Parker Roncin made 15 saves for Point Boro.

 

Ocean 9, Jackson Liberty 4

Mike Nies scored three goals and added three assists to lead the Spartans (3-1) past the Lions (2-3). Dale Alto and Brian Fisher each scored twice and Holden Lowe had a goal and four assists. Mike Huelster scored once and Garrett Schwab made nine saves.

Max Matthies and Nick Labianca scored twice and Sean Reid made 10 saves for Jackson Liberty. Matthies and Jake Bosco had a team-high six ground balls each.

 

Red Bank 16, Mater Dei 6

 

NONCONFERENCE

No. 5 Wall 16, Old Bridge 5

Senior attackman Mike McIntyre posted a 10-point game with seven goals and three assists to lead the Crimson Knights (4-1) to a convincing win over the Knights (2-2).

Tim O'Hern added four goals and two assists, Will Forte scored twice and Jack Textor had a goal and three assists. Connor Prindiville and James Plisky each scored once, Ryan Kellett corralled 15 ground balls and Sean DeMott made nine saves.

 

New Providence 10, Red Bank Catholic 3

Jack Zenkert scored twice and Colin Marshall made nine saves, but the Caseys (1-4) fell to the Pioneers (2-3) at Count Basie Field. Ryan Schellin scored once and Luke Guieci picked up five ground balls.
